Dawson had literally no legs or energy from round 1. I had him actually winning rounds 1 and 2 but it was plentifully obvious he was drained. His legs were slow and he had no energy to not even move his head. His balance was way off.

I challege anyone to eat nothing for about a week but bread and water, very low calories while tranining, they will feel like **** and not be able to move.

Props to Ward he's a great fighter, but don't kid yourself Dawson was a zombie in there.
Feel however you want to feel about it, but Chad did win the 2nd on my card before getting caught by those left hooks in the 3rd & 4th. Man, I haven't seen left hooks that pretty since Mike Mccalum Destroyed Donald Curry in 5.

I guess that means pro's have never dropped weight (of their own accord) & payed the price before??

Like I said I picked Ward to win. I just didn't expect him to destroy Dawson. However it seems fairly logical that the weight dropped affected his rather meek performance. His doing, he payed the price.

They are pros..I don't want to hear it as an excuse to why they lost..I also don't believe that's the reason he lost..Dawson looked strong imo,and fresh..It was not like the first solid shot made Dawson's legs go bye bye..He got caught with a clean shot, followed by more clean shots..Anyone's punch resistance would not good at that point...I also pointed out to you that Froch was rock and surprised at Wards punching power as well..He was not weight drained as you like to put it..I also believe Froch has a far better chin then Dawson as well..

I'm completely with Bushbaby on this. Chad would be outclassed by Ward even at 175 but it would be a much more competitive fight. Chad had no stamina and no punch resistance. Ward's skill level is definitely on a higher level than Dawson but he should've never been able to drop him and make him quit. I think why Chad didn't say anything while being interviewed about the weight is because he challenged Ward and said he could make the weight. There really isn't anyone for Ward to fight now unless Bute miraculously beats Froch in a rematch so I think Ward and Dawson will fight again at 175lbs sometime. If people were really reaching for excuses they'd be talking about the headbutt... but they aren't.

Can I ask what was Dawson's excuse for why he was being rocked by Pascal??Was it the weight??If Pascal had Wards stamina he would have scored a KO as well..You'd be better off talking about Wards dirty tactics then his weight..

PLEASE stop saying Dawson said the weight wasn't a issue himself...PLEASE!!!...he was just trying to be classy by not taking anything away from SOG...thats all....as for the fight, he looked weak and fragile, everytime he got touched he seemed to be hurt...smh...really weird!!

at the end of the day, you can throw this fight in the Cotto-Pac archives....dudes are saying that SOG would've took it at any weight just like they said Pac would take it to Cotto at any weight....but many don't agree
