I personally think Ward was able to land on Dawson,that's why his punch resistance was not there...People forget how Pascal was rocking Dawson(mind you Pascal is not nearly as skilled)and hurting him..Was that due to weight??Come on fellas,it's clear as day that Chad is not as skilled as Ward...Early in Chads career he was thought to be a lil suspect in the chin department anyway..But when ya fight old fighters who ya have more talent then you can hide it...But both times Chad fought young fresh opponents he has looked bad and lost the fight...

I expected Ward to win. But I didn't expect him to destroy Dawson like he did. Knock him down 3 times & make him quit?? Green has less of a chin than Dawson & that bum made 12. I still think Ward beats him at 175, but I don't think Dawson gets dropped 3 times & quit. It's my opinion & that's what I believe.

Weight was a factor in this fight. I just can't see it not being. I mean Ward did land a short sneaky left in the 3rd. But his legs were just jelly.

I don't think the skill disparity was affected by the weight. But his punch resistance was not there at all.

I understand all that. But I'm a realist. Maybe even Ward's biggest fan on this site. IMO he's the best active fighter pfp right now. Andre Ward is faster than Pascal, he also weights less & isn't exactly known for power.

I'm not saying Ward woulds have lost at all. I'm saying that if Dawson & Ward fought without Dawson losing 7 damn lb's that he's have lost a closer decision. Do you get that?? I just didn't expect Dawson to be thoroughly dominated & stopped like he was. So I do believe the weight played a part in that. How much?? I do not know.

Brah, let me make it very very clear and easy for you to understand. I want you to just try and make weight for a whole month, eat low calroies, you will feel very weak. You will feel like you can't move. Your body is so used to reacting and having reflexes but all of a sudden it doesn't. When you're a fighter you believe your body can handle it, but once that reality hits there's NOTHING you can do. NOTHING. His body couldn't react to anything. He had no energy in his legs he couldn't move a tall. Don't you remeber when RJJ shed that weight to fight Tarver? He had no elgs at all. He put himself on the ropes rd.1

Look, it's not whether you believe Ward beats Dawson at any weight or not, because we will never know. But this fight out of any other fight is a prime example of what weight drain is. I'm not even going to include the DLH-PAC fight because DLH was just a zombie and ghost.

Dawson had literally no legs or energy from round 1. I had him actually winning rounds 1 and 2 but it was plentifully obvious he was drained. His legs were slow and he had no energy to not even move his head. His balance was way off.

I challege anyone to eat nothing for about a week but bread and water, very low calories while tranining, they will feel like **** and not be able to move.

Props to Ward he's a great fighter, but don't kid yourself Dawson was a zombie in there.
