The people who think weight made no diffrence are in denial

Look, it's not whether you believe Ward beats Dawson at any weight or not, because we will never know. But this fight out of any other fight is a prime example of what weight drain is. I'm not even going to include the DLH-PAC fight because DLH was just a zombie and ghost.

Dawson had literally no legs or energy from round 1. I had him actually winning rounds 1 and 2 but it was plentifully obvious he was drained. His legs were slow and he had no energy to not even move his head. His balance was way off.

I challege anyone to eat nothing for about a week but bread and water, very low calories while tranining, they will feel like **** and not be able to move.

Props to Ward he's a great fighter, but don't kid yourself Dawson was a zombie in there.

dawson got beat by ward, he got beat mentally (negotiations) and he got beat physically (in the fight) Ward>>Dawson and that's the end of it.

there is no question that weight was an issue. it's just common sense.

hell, point out all the linear champs where one has dropped down in weight to meet another and won. there are very few if any. and Chad was dropping seven pounds off an already trim frame.

it does not take away from the fact that Ward accepted the challenge and then did what he was supposed to do; whooped that ass.

You had winning rounds 1 and 2? I think its obvious why you have such sour g****s in your mouth.

Your man was DOMINATED, get over it.

By the way, I have yet to see the fight but what I expected to happen happened. I just didn't think Dawson would get stopped.

first of all chad himself said he was eating he just had to diet so he was eating and we do know he would win at any weight from the dominating performance. The only reason Dawson started looking bad after round three is because he got HURT. You are spinning it probably because you picked Chad to win and want to justify being wrong. The whole camp said he was fine so why go to the built in excuse that Scully hates so much. If it was at 178 he might have survived a little longer that's it. Ward has a superior style. And all you poster trying to make excuses for him are pathetic. Just admit you where wrong for a change? How about that?

He's coming out to shine on Saturday, I expect a classic fight this saturday. Giants just lost but now looking fowards to Saturday night. Cheers to boxing!

Of course it did. Its not an excuse, its what it is. Personally I am against weight jumping like that, it can ruin a fighter. Dawson might not be the same after this. Many posters have Ward's **** in their mouths.

However, he offered to move down in weight. ****** move on his part. He should have asked Ward to move up. Not saying that Dawson would have won necessarily, but I don't think its ever a good idea to move down after fighting at a certain weight for years.
