Dawson is an A Fighter, Ward is Just an Elite fighter. Just like Floyd Made Marquez look silly. Sometimes an ELITE guy is just on his A game and anyone who is in the ring with them look Average. Ive always thought Ward was Good, but I believe him to be Top 5 P4P Easy.

dear GOD chad dawson how do you not know to keep that right hand up on the chin to absorb protect and block that left hook?????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????

how do you not know that just trying to bend over does NOT protect you

      from left hooks??//

      dawson needs a new trainer,

the weight does not even play a part when you cant block a left hook or

figure out to start blocking it....ADAPT AND TAKE IT AWAY.

wow, i picked ward to win but dawson offered nothing.....

      ward, stop holding so much......

I think Dawson constantly switching trainers has effected his performance. I noticed when he fought Hopkins, Dawson left hand was not as effective. Ward definitely studied Dawson.

The odd thing is Dawson is fighting in stance that leaves him open, he's not keeping his hands up. Whatever Scully taught him, it was not the right thing.

Nobody has faced such a good opposition in such a short period of time. Yes....Andre Ward IS the #1 p4p fighter in the world. And yes, the big question now is....Who's next?

I knew he would win but damn not but KO. P4P#1? Nobody can deny this besides Martinez by destroying the fraud and even that is arguable as Chavez is a fraud

Well Dawson was at his best when he was with Floyd Sr, his skills degraded when he left Sr, and Eddie Muhammad became his new trainer. He switched to Stewart, I didn't think that was a good move, but Stewart is better than Scully and Muhammad. I thought Dawson should have stayed with Stewart.

I don't think it would have mattered, to be honest. Ward is just the better fighter. PERIOD.
The weight definitely had an affect on Dawson, but he still had a 9 pound weight advantage, Ward just turned out to be a lot faster stronger and better than he thought as he just admitted..

Ward and Floyd are the two best fighters in the world, hands down.

pretty good win for Ward, though the weight thing takes it down from what it may have been at a CW or at 175.

That was the best Ward I've seen so far though.

Weigh-ins don't give you as much as being in the ring and I saw in the first round his legs were gone. Watching him with no legs reminded me of how Morales looked against Pac the third fight, how Chris Byrd looked against George, weak legs. But most people won't see that because they know nothing about body language and boxers body react to losing weight. Great fight by Ward, I wish it would have been at 175. Chad has been hit by harder punchers and responded better, Ward isn't a puncher so that pretty much tells you there. Again, great fight by Ward he did a marvelous job with what he had in front of him. But I'd like to see it at 175
I could say it even better then you,*** Ward.
