Cotto having more balls or taking more risks than Floyd and Manny.

Cotto has fought now 4 guys that were currently champions when he fought them, Pacquiao-Foreman-Floyd-Trout. Cotto's resume isn't all that, but he's one of the best fighters in his era, and will eventually get in the HOF probably.

Cotto has fought Margarito, Pacman & Floyd.

Also Clottey, (when he was considered dangerous.)

      He's now fighting Trout.

Pacman fought Cotto & Margarito, (but needed stipulations in his favor to do it). He also fought Clottey after it was clear Clottey refuses to engage.

      Floyd fought Baldomir & Sharmba....................

It's always nice to snatch the 0 from a person's record. I know Trout doesn't want that to happen lol

Every ERA has those fighters in which people would just rather not fight (Black Murderers' Row for example)...word gets around from Sparring and other things about certain fighters and how GOOD they are so fighters, their team and promoters already knows before that fight make a name for himself that they "SHOULD AVOID HIM" so even go as far as try to PREVENT that fighter from becoming a Big Star because they know once he gets to the Top he will be HARD TO BEAT!

Austin Trout is actually one of those guys! GGG is one of those fighters, Carlos Molina, Vanes Martirosyan, N'Dam N'Jikam, Chemito Moreno, Joan Guzman, Carson Jones, Orlando Salido, many of the Cuban Fighters (Rigondeaux, Lara, Gamboa, Pablo Hernandez, Luis Garcia just to name a few...)

Promoters of the Top Fighters would much rather keep those guys a Secret (Just like Black Murderers Row Fighters), rather then have them get exposure then start to demand that their Top Fighter have to fight those guys who THEY KNOW is 10x better then the Guys they are trying to SALE the Casual Fans as Superstars

Even as great as Ray Robinson was, you have people who say Charley Burley was more Talent and may have been BETTER then Robinson and would have beat Robinson

So if Trout beats Cotto it wouldn't shock me Personally...it comes a time when every fighter runs into their "TERRY NORRIS" like Ray Leonard ran into Terry Norris and just got DISMANTLED! Or James Toney runs into Roy Jones Jr and just get completely out-classed!

That is the risk you take when fighting younger fighters and I give Cotto MAJOR RESPECT (already had my respect though) for taking this risk!

cotto fought margarito and pac. 2 guys floyd was scared sh-itless of fighting. floyd can cherry pick "champs" like ortiz and baldomir all he wants but that doesn't mean he's taking risks like cotto. floyd fought mosley when he was champ and cotto fought mosley when he wasn't a champ so floyd gets more credit? even though the mosley cotto fought was much fresher. makes no sense.

Trout's style is too minimalist. How the hell is he gonna win a decision over Cotto in NYC while fighting one punch at a time? He ain't no defensive or counter-punching wizard.

Cotto fought Margarito before everybody knew what he was, a disgraced cheater. Good for Floyd that he didn't fight a guy who possibly shortened the careers of every guy he fought. And yes fighting Shane Mosley while he was champ is better than fighting him when he wasn't. He fought De La Hoya at 154 which is better than almost anybody Cotto has fought outside of Pacquiao. Do you really think Cotto stands a chance against a 154 lb Oscar? Doubt it.

Well obviously he'd shock a lot of people and be a new star in boxing. I don't see him beating Cotto though.
