What conclusion can we draw if Trout dominates Cotto??

Really curious about this because I feel that's exactly what's going to happen. I know what it'll mean to me, but what will it mean to all you guys??

If I didn't catch the fight and someone told me "Trout dominated!", I think it'll mean that he used his physical attributes to the fullest. He used his southpaw stance and long reach to decisively out-box Cotto and didn't allow himself to get engaged in a fire fight where he could get caught. I think it'll show that he had the kind of discipline/focus that top fighters needed to succeed. If Trout dominates, it'll make him that much harder to avoid by all the other LMWs (namely Canelo). He'll quickly become one of the more respected boxers in the division, and a star will be born.

Nothing. That is the beauty when good fighters fight good fighters. Youre going to lose form time to time when you fight the very best out there. This is precisely why everyone continues to praise the fighters of old..

He will be taken in by the Floyd and now Broner fans.

Some will say Cotto is shot, the same way they did when Floyd went up in weight and beat him. But the reality is that if Trout wins and does so cinvincingly, he's probably the best 154 lb fighter, other than Floyd. And we'll probably see Trout-Canelo in May.

Nope, ginger had a chance to fight him instead he fought Lopez. If Trout dominates Cotto there is no way that they'll ever put him & Trout in the same ring.

To Earl, I think you're a shallow guy. Trout behaves nothing like broner or Floyd. Also news flash, not every black boxing fan like those guys, true story.

Well I would love to hear an explanation other than Trout's bigger younger faster and stronger. You're so gung ho about it yet you can't come up with an actual reason for Trout winning.

I certainly cannot see Trout winning. I think it's going to be competitive as Trout will be able to dirty it up, cut Cotto's work rate down and offer some movement that will throw Cotto off.

But Cotto knows how to cut a ring off as well as just about anyone. Sure Trouts bigger but Cotto has out-jabbed bigger men with bigger reaches before.

The most important part about this fight will be the pace. Unless you have Mayweather-esque skill the only thing we've seen trouble Cotto is making him fight at a faster pace than he wants to. Trout will not dictate the pace, he's comfortable at a similar place as Cotto and this will allow Cotto to chop him down.

8-4/7-5 type decision for Cotto, but a clear one. And I've always been high on Trout, style wise he just won't be able to win enough rounds.

Did we bet?? Cause if not, put your points where your mouth is. Bigger, younger, stronger, faster with an arsenal of his own pretty good skill is more than enough reason to pick Trout bro.

Haha no its not man. That's not a reason, you're naming vague attributes that are arguable you're not actually breaking down the fight.

Will I bet mythical points? Yea sure. A billion?
