I mean Hoya lost 4 of his last 7 fights ( and one of those fights he "won" was Sturm) So he really lost 5 of his last 7 fights. His real wins.... Forbes and Mayorga.

His last 9 fights leading up to the Pac fight he weighed between 150 to 160. Before that 12 fights at 147 going back to 1997( he fought Pac in 2008).

For those who love Pac ( very nice) but reality is that win was "a name" more than the real Hoya.
Oscar looked like one of those paper skeletons with moving joints that people hang on their porch on halloween.......

Oscar quit on his stool with all his yes-men crawling up his backside telling him 'you don't need to do this', what a hoot

In hind sight, it was just as good if not way worse then Canelo's win over Mosley... If Pac actually had any kind of run at 147, he would have probably been the favorite to DLH at the time, otherwise a small underdog

Prime De La Hoya still MURDERS him

at the time nobody thought Manny would weigh more than Oscar. And as Freddy Roach put it "I saw the IV marks on his arm".

You may as well beat up on some malnurished street bums and celebrate the victory.

I give Manny some credit for moving up in weigh but he fought a dead man walking that night. The same guy who was practically beaten by Steve Forbes in the prior fight at a comfortable weight!
