How great of a win was Pac over Hoya?

I just watched it again and was thinking, Hoya looked like crap. The weight manipulation along with his age (plus Manny on the rise) did him in.

I mean Hoya lost 4 of his last 7 fights ( and one of those fights he "won" was Sturm) So he really lost 5 of his last 7 fights. His real wins.... Forbes and Mayorga.

His last 9 fights leading up to the Pac fight he weighed between 150 to 160. Before that 12 fights at 147 going back to 1997( he fought Pac in 2008).

For those who love Pac ( very nice) but reality is that win was "a name" more than the real Hoya.

At the time Manny was a huge underdog so it was a great win. He had 1 fight at 135 and jumped to 147

            Not a good win IMO.

De La Hoya was clearly drained and one of the worst cases of a fighter being weight drained that I've ever seen.

It was as great as Kevin McBride's victory over Mike Tyson.

Oscar cherry picked Manny not the other way around lets not forget that.Oscar ducked Margarito after he beat Cotto"remember he was suppose to fight the winner".So he thought he would cherry pick a 130 pound fighter and it was an epic fail moment.

The thing about bookies and betting odds is, they don't know how a boxer is going to handle the weight. Nobody does until after the fight. Now if the fighter loses, the haters can always say that it was because he was weight drained, BUT remember HE WAS ON IV before the fight. Now I am not an anthropologist but I am pretty sure he was desperate for fluids.

If the bookies knew this, then Pac would definitely have been the favorite.

                    Pacquiao weighed more than DLH.
