And I'm pretty certain Canelo would take a fight with Mayweather or Pacquiao in a second.

    of course he would

he's not scared of these guys

that's a laughable concept. scared. christ.

you guys have no idea the type of confidence that comes with having elite level talent and work ethic. you've beaten basically everybody you've ever been in the ring with. god put you on the planet to fight.
you arent scared of a damn thing.

a tiny part. al haymon is the best in the world at what he does.

you know damn well i love to see men beat the snot out of eachother, and we dont see that with careful matchmaking.
I don't even need to see men beat the snot out of 1 another. I just want the best to fight the best. For example there was a tread on here yesterday about the Ward-Dawson fight & Maniac & those other fickle fans said they didn't wanna see that fight.

But he's the same guy that will ride the lowrider monte carlo to Ginger's front lawn to protect him as he fights jr welterweights.

I mean, how can a boxing fan NOT appreciate a fight between the 2 best fighters separated by a weightclass fighting each other?? That's the fights I like most.

it's not a sport to either of them. it's a job.

i'd love to see all of these energies spent complaining about canelo's matchmaking spent supporting that awesome f#cking fight

i dont need to see them get the snot beat out of each other either. it generally brings out the best, but it's not a necessary ingredient.

if they're complaining about ward and dawson they're a lost cause.

you know who should get an extra measure of respect?
          bad chad

dude bucked the trend and moved down in weight, lol. he's a badass

matchmaking like 21 year old canelo's should make us appreciate matchmaking like late 20's ward and dawson.

Another thing bout that, (Because you've basically agreed with me concerning Floyd). He gets to be considered an atg, future HOFer & every other boxing elite accolade, while other fighters, some that were in the weightclasses he were in that could possibly beat him never got an opportunity like he has. And will probably never make it to the hof & will never be considered great because they never got the opportunity that he was handed.

and what if they haven't been in the ring with the best? the more you avoid something the scarier it becomes to you. if they know they have been protected throughout their careers then i bet they do get scared to actually fight legit competition. it's a natural human emotion.

                  the industry is very healthy

the two largest paid athletes on the planet are boxers

it's ruining the industry from the perspective of the fan

i can look at it from the perspective of the industry, or at least i try. the industry is healthy.

pleasing fans is only important to the industry to the extent that the fans are willing to spend money

i am sorry man, but that's how the world works. it would be nice if it did, but it doesn't. these men are capitalists. if they don't operate as capitalists the wheels fall off and boxing ceases to exist.

and yes, i admire al haymon on some level. i dont like that he keeps big fights from happening, but that cloud my admiration for the guy.

                      huge stretch

certainly not the norm. that's not how an elite athlete's mind works.
