lara is the best 154 pounder in the world and canelo is good but the only reason why he so famous is because hes mexican and he gets the fan support and fills arenas and gets ppv buys from the mexican fans but all those other fighters are not that famous he should fight lara but he wont because he knows that hell loose Lara is the Best

So they can robbed Molina, after the fight in the cards? Molina doesn't have the KO power to beat GBP.
But Lara can KO Canelo, so that fight will not go to the judges, I prefer the Lara one just because of that
Also Canelo in a few days will be 22, and already has multiple title fights, so update his age in your excuses.Comment

Canelo vs Lara is the real fight for all us real boxing fans....AKA a fight that we shouldnt get our hopes up for. ..evryone knows that Canelo would Whoop kirkland-Angulo...etc...Lara is the crafty left hander with real boxing skills and decent power - canelo's most worthy opponent @ 154 in my opinion.Comment

Like I said, the business of boxing has you brainwashed. I'll tell you what would be solved. The bull$h!t all of it. You said it yourself. You prefer starpower & powerful promoting force feeding fans a bogus champion because of his ability to sell fights. Ppv fights that are in fact worthless. Because it's just a show full of controversy. No it doesn't. You are mixing apples and oranges. Canelo won a bogus title in an era where titles mean NOTHING because of his powerful promoter. No question. But Canelo signed with his powerful promoter because they saw how popular he is. And yes, it matters that he is 21. We know he can't beat Lara right now, so why fight someone you can't beat?
So essentially, you want Canelo to stunt his pro development just because he has a WBC belt which we both know is meaningless. Then he loses to Lara. So now Lara has a meaningless belt after beating someone he is far more experienced than.
What exactly has been solved?
Boxing is a business passed of as a sport now, made that way by fans allowing themselves to be had like fools. You & many others say championships are meaningless. But embrace pfp standings, superstar fighters selling out ppv & a butt load of other ******ed intangibles that are the direct cause & decay of boxing as a serious sport. Yet you don't see it & are satisfied by ginger (along with the many others) that rob you dry & drown the sport at the same time. Ha, lol!!Comment

Dunn, that's Bull$h!t homie. Canelo has a belt that Martinez got stripped for and he is defending his title because he is considered a champ at the top of the sport. Shouldn't be no safe route for him at this point. The Williams and Kirkland fights were a step up but Ortiz not so much and we found out Saturday that Canelo would have probably beat Ortiz down. Now you have some other guys in line for a title shot but not Lara? Fight should be made. You sound like his promoter.Comment

Yo Dunn. I read a lot of your posts in the past and rarely if ever had a problem with your point of view but this what you just wrote is ludicrous and a let down to boxing fans who want to see the best fighters square off to solidify who is the best among them. You are very critical of Manny Pacquiao but what Arum has done with his fighters is what you are cosigning for Canelo. This may not mean anything to you but I am disappointed in this way of thinking from a boxing fan.No it doesn't. You are mixing apples and oranges. Canelo won a bogus title in an era where titles mean NOTHING because of his powerful promoter. No question. But Canelo signed with his powerful promoter because they saw how popular he is. I didn't say I preferred anything. Canelo's situation is unique to him. Any arguments centered around floyd and manny are just that. To extrapolate further is ridiculous.Like I said, the business of boxing has you brainwashed. I'll tell you what would be solved. The bull$h!t all of it. You said it yourself. You prefer starpower & powerful promoting force feeding fans a bogus champion because of his ability to sell fights. Ppv fights that are in fact worthless. Boxing is decaying because there are no outlets for it and therefor fewer ways to make money. I grew up watching great fights on free TV. You had great fights because of network competition. Well thats gone. Other things have taken up that space.
Thats why boxing has changed. IMO its ******ity bordering on mental ******ation to blame floyd/Manny or canelo for that. I agree I shouldn't have to pay to watch Canelo on ppv at this stage of his career.
But if people like you wrote emails to ESPN/NBC/USA and complained about it rather than just in this forum, it might be better.Comment
