Can you lay blame at Manny but not at Andre, I find it hard to believe you can, unless you apply double standards.

I seen numerous posters criticise Pacquiao for his fights against, Cotto, Margarito, and for wanting the 2nd fight against Cotto at 147 lbs, but very few people criticise Ward for not fighting Dawson at 175 lbs

If anything Pacquiao should be criticised less.

After all he had already rose up through 8 weight class and could not reach the weight limit of the division he was fighting in and he gave away weight advantages in the ring against Marg and Cotto.

Ward on the other hand is a big super middle and can easily make the light-heavy limit.

Margarito was a carrer welter and was very comfortable at 150 lb.
Cotto a former light-wetler and only had to weigh in 1 lb less than his previous fight.

Dawson on the other hand is a career light-heavy, definitely not small at the weight but now has to drop 7lbs to face a top p4p fighter.

So can you crticise Pacquiao but not Ward and not show blatant double standards?

    Poll Coming!!!
First of all Dawson asked to come down and challenged ward. Ward never came on national tv and said I want Dawson at 168. PAC turned down a fight with Cotto above 147 and wouldn't fight him at 147 for the title fight. You can't compare PAC and roaches bull**** to ward taking a challenge from dawson.

Dawson still has challenges at 175 but hooses a smaller guy to fight next. He chose to not fight cloud for two years, lost to pascal and hasn't corrected that business. So we really need to be giving ward credit for taking an elite fighter like Dawson unlike PAC who keeps trying to avoid Marquez at all cost.

#1 Pacquiao had been making WW weight since being SFW. On fight night he often came in at 144lbs. I know he did against Barrera and Morales.

#2 Cotto had been destroyed by Margarito. Isn't it sad that Pacquiao still needed to drain Cotto to get an unfair advantage even after Miguel's beating?

#3 Championships DO NOT change hands under catchweight rules. Yet, this one did for Pacquiao. This is how Pacquiao attempted to legitimize his run at WW. It was a sham then, and its a sham now. Miguel only even had a belt because he fought unknown Michael Jennings for a paper vacant title so that he could have something to lose to Pacquiao.

DLH went down 3lbs huh? So you mean even though DLH was campaigning as a MW, he went down ONLY 3lbs to fight Pacquiao? LOL .. I suppose you're going to say that DLH came down from the 170lbs he weighed for Mayweather to 147lbs to fight Steve Forbes? You're starting off by lying to yourself. No one is buying that nonsense, pal.

I've ALWAYS said that Martinez is the latest hype in boxing.

The guy beat Williams after Williams was exposed by Quintana, and he beat Pavlik out of rehab. Everything else is pathetic. We agree here because I've caught lots of shit for being the main one saying it.

But that's about all we agree on.
Right, and Broner is a sww, why is he ducking Lara? I'm sure Lara would meet him at 147 if Broner hasn't hit 148 yet.

Any credit to Floyd for twice destroyed Cotto? Above Cotto's best weight no less, witness his cw request against Margo.

Ok, if 12/3 is not good, lets go 2 fights back, it's 17/7. Wasn't Hoya gonna rematch FMJ at 147, then looked to Hatton and Pac there? So he miscalculated, not only did he quit, but can only blame his ****** self. I mean, everyone see it coming a mile away.

Miguel wanted 147lbs lets not live a fantasy where things are true just because that's what you'd like to believe, he wanted 147lbs Manny wanted 143lbs and Cotto basically said "look either 145lbs or **** off". why do you think Cotto didn't face him again, it's because Manny wanted no part of a 154lb Cotto he wanted him at 150 where Miguel would have been completely drained. he made the whole 154lbs against Floyd for the weigh in so imagine if he had to lose 4+lbs and smaller gloves?

make no mistake Cotto only asked for 145lbs because Manny would never have took 147lbs or 146lbs and he knew realistically that 145lbs was the lowest he could go. he didn't take it willingly as his own demand he basically offered that as a counteroffer to something much more unfair (143lbs), it wasn't something he wanted on his own like how you're twisting the facts and articles to make it seem like and fit your Pacquiao defending agenda

was'nt it obviuos?...the fight was never close to have warrated a rematch...it was a beat down...cotto knew he would have a better chance of beating floyd than beating pacman and he was right...no need to complicate simple things here..

Not even you believe that Puga, he broke his ear drum while weight drained and no trainer in his corner so imagine 9lbs heavier with bigger gloves and a trainer like Diaz taking him into that fight? are you going to choose to be ****** enough to pretend that doesn't make a BIG difference? because if so just let me know now so I can just not reply to you anymore..

you are choosing to turn a blind eye to the circumstances that led to that outcome and simply glorifying Manny's performance not giving 2 ****s about Cotto, that is NOT neutral. if you were being neutral you'd know Cotto had everything stacked against him, his own promotional company sold him out and then tried to do it twice as bad when they discussed a rematch so much to the point where Cotto left Top Rank

Cotto wanted the Pacquiao rematch but came out publicly and said he didn't like the treatment he received from Top Rank promotions and chose Floyd because he got much better treatment there. just accept the truth..

everything i say i believe...you wanna be neutral then you can start by admitting pac vs cotto was pretty onesided beatdown that did'nt deserve a rematch...ofcourse, cotto wanted to fight pac , thats huge money fight right there....no one wanted to see a pac vs cotto rematch, i mean no one exept a few cotto huggers.. and for obvious reasons...
