Exactly, can't have your cake and eat it too.

Honestly though, Froch was 3-2 in the Super Six, with one win being kind of a gift and the other two came against an overrated MW who never left Germany or fought anyone good, and a 42-year old with 14 losses.

Froch deserves respect for wanting to fight everybody, but he's not on Joe's level. Not resume-wise, and not fight-wise.

I feel as though Froch has.

Calzaghe was a protected Euro-fighter who faced his best competition once and only once they were no longer prime.

Hopkins and RJJ would have dismantled Calzaghe had he fought them in the late 90's or early 2000's,

Froch stepped up in only his 24th fight to the world stage. All of his opposition was prime and ready. They were the best of the best of their division and Froch have a great showing.

Calzaghe waited until the two best names on his resume had already been beaten. A 1999 version of Roy Jones would have made Calzaghe look like a bowl a dog *****.

Calzage = Bute ... except Bute actually fought a prime fighter and lost for his troubles.

It wasn't kind of a gift, it was straight up home cooking. Records should show that he lost 3 fights in the super 6 alone. Was well down on the score cards against Taylor who was a natural middleweight. Probably would still get beat by Bhop even today.

The stuff legends are made of lol

Did we watch the same fight? How could you not be impressed with Froch's performance? He pretty much fought the perfect fight. As for a premature stoppage, Bute's team threw the towel in, he was taking serious damage on the ropes unable to defend himself.

                    Styles do make fights

I personally feel Calzaghe would beat Froch had they ever have met in the ring

And i know Calzaghe doesnt have the best list of fighters...

But saying that be beat an undefeated Kessler....who froch still lost 2....

Also went to Light heavy and beat Hopkins...the RJJ win was **** tho...

I think calzaghe was just unlucky that during his prime the division wasnt great..

Froch is in a time where everyone is hitting their primes and are great competition

In terms of quality of opposition and risk taken, it's possible. Would Calzaghe have agree to fight in the Super Six? It's hard to say. Froch might go down as more of a" risk taker" then Calzaghe.
