Respect is earned & frankly the guy didn't earn my respect.

If Canelo beats Paul Williams, his CV is about the same as Joes and he is still a kid

40 cans, 1 or 2 ex world champions that lucked a belt here and there and 2 washed up as **** old men who was once considered a force.

Joe is a HOF for sure, but I wouldn't consider him an ATG.

      Joe's resume:

Chris Eubank, Robin Reid (Top 10 SMW), Richie Woodhall (Top 10 SMW), Mario Veit, Charles Brewer (Top 10 SMW), Byron Mitchell (Top 10 SMW), Jeff Lacy (IBF SMW champ/#3 SMW), Sakio Bika, Mikkel Kessler (WBC SMW champ/#1 SMW), and Bernard Hopkins (RING LHW champ).

Reid, Woodhall, Brewer, and Mitchell were solid wins against Top 10 SMW's. Veit, Bika, and Eubank were good wins, though they weren't ranked at the time in the Top 10 at SMW. Kessler, Lacy, and Hopkins are his best wins. Hopkins is an ATG, proved after the Joe fight that he can still fight well, but Joe arguably lost. A good win, but really controversial. Lacy was a good win at the time, no doubt. He just didn't amount to much after, but it was a good win at the time. Kessler was a really good win, just like Hopkins, but it wasn't controversial like Hopkins. Kessler has won multiple titles at 168, was a really good win.

Joe's a HOF fighter, but I wouldn't call him an ATG (Top 100 or so). He'll without a doubt get in the HOF though.

Hopkins landed the cleaner better punches. Much of Calzaghe's arm punch combinations were slipped.

Calzaghe won it due to activity but he didnt look good. And age matters, calzaghe was old, hopkins was much older. It reflects bad on calzaghe because he waited so long to move up. Where was he when Roy was a beast at 175? Hopkins lost the fight due to low activity more than Calzaghe won it, its a flaw with hopkins and Calzaghe wasnt the first to benefit either, Taylor won for the same reason.

Top 10 SMW or whatever, they was all coming off a string of losses and well passed it.

Joe & Ottkes records are very similar, they have a shed load of shared opposition.

The only real difference is Joe beat Jones's ghost & sc****d a debatable win over a 43yr old Popkins whilst Ottke beat Markussen & Larsen when they was feared & avoided all throughout Europe & he beat a young Mundine

Like it or lump it Larsen was coming off about 25 wins with 20 odd K.Os over some teak tough Euro's

Ottke beat these guys, Joe picked up his left overs and was getting the most embarrassingly ridiculous premature stoppages known to man.

          Ottke >>> Joe
          Skillwise & resume.

The funny thing is Sven Ottkes resume is better than Calzaghes and that is a fcuking fact and I don't care what armchair expert or e-historian tries telling me otherwise.

Achieved *** all in life hey? Speak for yourself gob****e.
You probably don't remember how highly rated Lacy was at the time, considered the best guy in the division by many and how he was gonna knock Joe the *** out right???

People just recently realised how good the W over B-Hop was after he went to claim the lineal title by schoolong Pascal. Comparing a unified champ who fought a has a few ATG's on his resume to Ottke just proves you're a ******. No offense.

Gobshyt???? I'll remeber that next time I'm climing up your mum

You should simmer down brah I didn't mean to offend

Nobody even rated Lacy, even the Americans knew he was rubbish.

It was mainly Frank Warren (fish eyes) bigging him up, claiming he was the known as the next Tyson
Hyped the hell out of him because he knew he would make Joke Calslappy look great.

Is that why ring magazine put their SM title on the line?

Even in the UK I can't remember a single bookies that had Joe as favourite to win

                  On paper that looks great.

But is it that great in reality?

Obviously we know about Roy Jones at that stage.

Hopkins was a good win against a P4P level fighter. He get's credit for that win no doubt but the fact still remains he was 44 and well past his prime.

The reality is, Joe's resume is incredibly thin.

The reason is some Americans are too butthurt over the loss.

They have ******s like a clowns pocket it hurt too much.
