Well again, going off Cotto in 2009 and 2010, according to Hauser, the clottey one was 2.65 and the Foreman one was 2.75(I'm sure Arum kicked in some for Miguel). And he was a bigger draw than either Hopkins or Calzaghe....and in that same article I sited, they paid a similar fee(6.5) for Jermain Taylor Kassim fcuking Ouma!

I think a lot of it was a mixture of the poor economy and a lack of current star power.

I wonder how much Clottey and Foreman got. And since both are under contract with TR, they definitely got a bump. No surprise on Jermain Taylor either, given who is backing him. It's about who you know, right?

I remember that article well. He had a series of great articles on HBO. And I think we're seeing some cutbacks and creative new ideas from the network. Roy Jones set them back like 100 years and things just kept getting ridiculous. My concern is that the real movers and shakers behind the scene are still able to secure whatever paydays they want their fighters. Even if they don't deserve it. Then again, I hear some of them are moving over to Showtime now.
