Hatton....it's 50-50 if he will get in. He may because of his huge popularity, and his win over Tszyu, and being a weight champ. I don't know though.

But yes, Castillo is better than Cotto to me. Cotto can surpass him though if he has a nice run still at 154 in these next 2-3 years. Corrales and Cotto really aren't too far apart in my honest opinion.

Aside from Mosley, Corrales' wins over Castillo-Freitas-Casamayor are possibly better than the rest of Cotto's.
Corrales was the underdog in pretty much all of those fights. That's pretty amazing. Not to mention his title win over unbeaten Garcia at 130 which was
also a big underdog win, it's pretty cool in hindsight.

Gatti, based on wins and resume, shouldn't get in. I think Hatton should get in before him, based on his Tszyu win alone. Genaro should get in before Gatti as well, was pretty dominant at 130 until he met Floyd in 98'.

Cuevas is obviously a lot more deserved to be in the HOF than Gatti is. For starters.

Cuevas had a very good WW run.

So, say we give Castillo the Mayweather W, as it was very close and lots felt he won. Does his resume at 135 look better than Chavez'? Chavez had Rosario, Ramirez, Mayweather

          .......

            Shane's definitely not an ATG.

            Neither is Oscar.

His run was very good but he was never a top guy at the weight IMO. He looked good beating up Espada however many times he needed to, but when he stepped up he got creamed hard. Not saying Gatti is greater at all, but his impact was certainly greater IMO

and for me that means a lot. I get pretty romantic about boxing

If anyone is consider Castillo to have beaten Mayweather then I can't see how he isn't a first Ballot HOF'er.

I personally felt Mayweather won both fights and I still think Castillo has an argument.

With Mayweather on his resume, he's a First Ballot HOF'er.

I don't really think Shane is. Oscar is in my book, he beat Trinidad, I don't care what anyone says about Oscar coasting late in the fight, he won more rounds. But everyone has their opinions.

Agreed....it's funny how things like this will be forgotten when it's all said and done, but for those who actually got to witness it will know the real story.

He was never the man of the division.

But, he beat a lot of the top WW's and in very impressive fashion.

Obviously when he stepped up at ATG level he was destroyed but that's because he's not an ATG level fighter.

But, he was a very good fighter.
