That little era Castillo and others all fought each other was great, loved those fights.....ill go with Castillo....while he didnt get the two biggest wins on his record vs Floyd or Corrales....the wins over Stevie Johnston and Bazan could easily be overlooked, both fo them were better than advertised at the time. Johnston was very good

I went to Castillo-Johnston II in Denver, was obviously going for Stevie, very very close fight.
Johnston was actually a P4P'er too after that clinic he put on Manfredy. That was just beautiful to watch and got put in the top 10 after that. BOTH fights with Castillo were razor close.

It really wouldn't surprise me if all of those got in the HOF.

And in reality, none of them really deserve to IMO.

If all those names get into the HOF the overrating of Mayweather is going to be unbearable in the future.

He will have beaten 9 HOF'ers
If Tszyu got in, some of those names for sure should get in. The HOF in boxing has always been a bit easier to get into than other major sports for sure. But they can't get picky all of a sudden.

I see Castillo, Corrales, De La Hoya, Marquez, Mosley, and Cotto getting in someday. I don't think Genaro or Gatti will. Hatton, it's 50-50 to me. What could put Hatton in is his popularity, 2 weight champ, and having a win over another HOF fighter in Tszyu. Even though Tszyu wasn't at his absolute peak, he was still #3 P4P and the RING JWW champ. That could help him get in.

I think Gatti will get in. I'd be very surprised if he didn't.

No way should he get in.

            But, I think he will.

              Huge difference.

I voted for Castillo, I give him credit for the first Mayweather fight, and without it I'd still argue for him.

I think it's what you factor in more dominance in 1 weight-class for not dominating but being top level in multiple weight-classes. Can't go wrong with either one IMO.

But, I'm a fan of Castillo run. I think it's the best run at LW since Whitaker.
I voted Cotto because he had a good run at 140 and then 147's was solid as well. However, completely agree with you about Castillo's lightweight run. Dude is definitely underrated.

I see no problems with JLC, Cotto, Delahoya, Marquez, Mosley, Marquez or Gatti getting into the HOF.

Pipino Cuevas is in the HOF isn't he?

Gatti will get in just on GP....I am sure they will do something for him and Ward, having him make a speech or something. they will go in together possibly just because

I think Castillo, Corrales, De La Hoya, Marquez, Mosley, and Cottow ill get in the HOF. I really only consider Oscar and Marquez ATG's out of those fighters. Maybe Shane was well, I'd have to think about it more, not really sure.

Hatton....it's 50-50 if he will get in. He may because of his huge popularity, and his win over Tszyu, and being a weight champ. I don't know though.

But yes, Castillo is better than Cotto to me. Cotto can surpass him though if he has a nice run still at 154 in these next 2-3 years. Corrales and Cotto really aren't too far apart in my honest opinion.

Aside from Mosley, Corrales' wins over Castillo-Freitas-Casamayor are possibly better than the rest of Cotto's.
