F**k Boxingscene until this fight calms down. People are really f**king moronic after Floyd fights, and it's sad. And this goes for both sides of the coin.

Cotto didn't have the trainer he has or the weight, so you have to factor that into the equation when comparing what Pac did to Cotto at 145 and what Cotto can do at 154. ALSO you have to remember that Pac didn't want to fight Cotto again at his comfortable weight of 154, so comparing Pac and Floyd fighting Cotto is null and void. Cotto was Pac's first choice and turned him down because of weight. Can't down Floyd's performance/win on Cotto and compare it to Manny's.
thats because Pacq can't make 154, let alone 151. if he was 5'8 then it'd be a different story.

I know you probably weren't even watching back in 2005, let alone when Floyd actually started his career, or when Ray Leonard was in his prime. If you've been watching the sport for as long as I have, or as long as some on here have, you wouldn't be the way you are. You are the new age moron boxing fan....

The Berto hype train??? Instead of fighting Berto, who everyone said he should, Pac fought Shane Mosley fresh off losing to Floyd and fighting a draw with Mora......Ortiz was still the #2 ranked WW after be beat Berto, was a good fight.

          Grow up, son......

Unlike you, I can actually see the greatness in both fighters. They are both ATG's.
Why bring up the past, dentures and all when we're talking about the present? Using more clown tricks to duck real debate I see.

You should've said the Pacquiao-Berto fight had virtually no chance of happening with Haymon backing the Berto hype train. Berto went tooth and nail with Collazo just like Hatton. Pacquiao make mince meat out of Hatton. Ortiz beat that paper champion to become the new paper champion. And that's your argument?

Keep bringing up last century because that's all you can do.

good post. ive often fallen into that trap. i still think floyd beats pac handily but as the saying goes, no 1 is unbeatable.

Absolutely. Judges score fights horribly all the time. It is a FACT he won. It is not a FACT he CLEARLY won. That is a matter of opinion.

In the middle rounds, Cotto landed some good shots, but Floyd held his own on the inside and alot of Cotto's shots were deflected or grazing blows. I will say, I thought Floyd looked 35 tonight but still landed at will. I like the subtle adjustment that he made with his right hand. He looped it around Cotto's glove and started tagging him on the neck and ear area. Nice adjustment that also opened up the uppercut right after the right hand. Entertaining fight for sure and a clear UD. I need to watch it again by myself to really give a score for it. And hats off to Cotto.
                I didn't think he looked 35.

I thought he looked sharp, reflexes still quick and still not getting hit much but he did get hit more than usual but only really by the jab on mutliple occasions.

I did think he looked a little tired near the end though.

lots of people watch the big fights but don't really care for the sport. Just like people that get all hyped up for the Super Bowl or NCAA National Championship game but don't even know whos playing until kickoff. Even I don't like baseball but I watch the LCS and World Series every year. BUT I don't call myself a baseball fan.
