It's annoying. I remember watching Ray, Halger, Hearns, Duran, Pernell, and many others, and I don't remember people being this ****** about the sport. Of course, the internet wasn't that big back then when I was younger and growing up.Comment

Again, why waste your time with certified trolls that don't even like boxing?Comment

Great fight!
cotto put on a great perfomance and landed some punches I didnt think he could, hats off to him! Floyd is still at the top of his game he put on a great performance too but I think the extra weight slowed him down a tad bit but he weathered the storm like a true champion!Originally posted by BIGPO

Ditto. Some of his fans on here seems to think that it's a brilliant tactic at this particular point in Floyd's career, but i think he's very vulnerable to get hit more when he lays on the ropes. He showed his age against Cotto, and the lesser he use lateral movement, the more he will get hit.The goat did what he was supposed to do tonight. I sincerely hope it's his last time at 154 though as he's still a beast at 147. Cotto was game as **** but skills pay the bills. 43-0 but I will have to admit I didn't like how he was hanging out on the ropes so much, even though he was parrying most of the shots. Then again, Miguel has some weight and strength on him. When they were boxing in the middle of the ring, Floyd made it look so easy most of the time.Comment

Exactly. Although Cotto dished up some good body work & boxed nicely in round 6 forcing Floyd into the unnatural pursuers role & getting tagged in that round. Miguel payed for delivering his body work by getting smacked strongly with uppercuts, straight rights & right hooks. He scored most of his points to the body when Floyd was one the ropes.....he had one round where he did good circling and that was the 6th. That was it.
All Cotto did was land the jab every now and then, and work the body a bit with Floyd on the ropes.
Floyd won a wide comfortable UD.Comment

hate and don't like are not the same thing. I work with people that dog me out because I watch boxing but they always go to fight parties for the big fights. I work with guys that don't watch or talk sports at all until the big events. Finals, Superbowl, National Championship etc. I ask them y that is they say the don't really care for the sport but the like the events. When the big dogs fight its an event. Events bring out so called boxing fans that couldn't name 4 weight classes if it could win them a million dollars.Comment
), I need to watch the fight again by myself. But after the first round, I just knew he was going to get him out of there. He took control from the very beginning.
