Probably never. By the time Floyd is out and the fight is made, Floyd would be 36 or possibly almost 37. Pac may have lost to Bradley as well.

I think Floyd is just as surprised as well that he got tagged. That's why his hands were probably down. Usually his reflex would avoid some of those shots. But a few landed flush and quite well. Father Time is a b1tch.
Like I said in the master thread, this may be possibly the last great fight (or next to last) in Floyd's career.

BTW, that 151 lb was strategic. If Floyd felt comfortable, he would not have given those few lbs. I just don't think Floyd will beat Martinez at 155 (catchweight) or above.

He still looked the same skill/speed wise as the Mosley/Ortiz fights. He looke dvery solid tonight and had some force on those punches. I agree with Steward on one thing for sure, had Floyd went for it, he could have stopped Cotto after hurting him in the 12th, he could have forced a ref stoppage.

Exactly, the better technical fighter doesn't always win. Boxing is more about how different styles match up. Another example of this was the Dawson vs Pascal fight.

Since when did pac bully/push around cotto? At most, he just swamped him with activity. His most effective punches(during the first half) were when cotto got carried away and let down his guard. He didnt bring his right hand to that fight either. He was poorly prepared, with a piss poor trainer.

Floyd's weakness has been the straight left. he got touched up by judah, corley, and now cotto with straight lefts. That's Pac's best punch.

Brb, pacquiao now knows how to cut off the ring, fight counterpunchers, etc. Consider mayweather a harder punching, quicker, better defensive marquez. Want to know what pac gets touched by...straight right hands. Everything pac would do would play right into mayweathers strengths, aswell as him being the smaller fighter. He has a punchers chance, but maybe not even against mayweather.

Im a massive Mayweather fan but Miguel Cotto is one hell of a warrior and seems like the kind of guy you can't help like.
Having said Floyd laid the smack down tonight, the first few rounds were Floyd at his best IMO, Cotto didnt land anything more than the odd jab.
I personally think Mayweather is as sharp as ever, his reflexes are amazing and if he did start to slow down later in the fight that is hardly surprising considering the weight advantage Cotto had on the night. And let's not forget that Miguel Cotto is a true true warrior.
Floyd Mayweather will be remembered in 20 years time as one of the greatest defensive fighters of all time.
Miguel Cotto will be remembered as an honorable warrior.
The muppets on here that just hurl uneducated abuse won't be remembered at all.

I saw Cotto wasn't responding well to the crisp shots but taking the point scoring shots well. I thing Cotto broke Floyd's nose early but Floyd hurt him badly in round 12 and could have stopped him if he pressed the issue but as always Floyd is a safety 1st fighter.

your talking about two completely different styles, nothing alike, you have Cotto who is Rugged and Strong and is big and strong enough to push Mayweather around, get him against the ropes and go to work inside

Uh...Pacquiao can't fight inside first of all, he doesn't try to get inside, Pacquiao uses speed and space to get his punches off

Floyd is good, he proved it but he is very much beatable and he is NOT as great as all you thought he was.

HE fought but it thrilled me that there were no cuts to stop the fight and neither did Cotto QUIT and throw in the towel

Matter of fact he showed us how to whip Mayweather , what will whip Mayweather , what you have to do to whip Mayweather and who can do it.
