ur being unrealistic if u think martinez and floyd are gonna fight this year. its virtually impossible. theres nowhere near enough time to promote that fight when martinez has a fight in september. its impossible. the turnaround doesnt work out at all numerically. so no, he will not fight martinez.

However if Floyd really does want to ever fight Martinez, the most opportunistic chance to do it would be in December, 3 months post Martinez's Chavez/Lee fight, so who knows.
Sergio isn't fighting 3 months later, he fights every 5-7 months. After Chavez/Lee in September, I think he'' return anywhere from February-May 2013.

Khan isn't going to happen until 2013 most likely, according to Schaefer. And Khan has to get by Peterson, and than beat a good WW to get that Floyd fight and make it legit.

Canelo usually fights often, he fought 4 times last year. I can easily see him fighting in May, than fighting again in September and December. I hope they match him with a Top SWW in September though, someone like Cotto-Lara-Molina-Kirkland.

Berto could happen, he's fighting Ortiz in June, and seems to be fighting every 5-6 months. He could easily fight in June and 6 months later in December.

It all depends on what happens, but Berto/Alvarez make the most sense for December.

whats with u ppl? why is it that whenever floyd is due to fight common sense goes out the window? theres no way in hell martinez is fighting floyd this year. if u wanna cry about then go ahead. if u wanna blame floyd then ur being an idiot. its impossible. it will likely be canelo, if not him, then im not sure who. but it will not be martinez. that much is for certain.

If Floyd told Sergio he'd fight him in November or December, I'm confident Sergio would say f*** it about the Chavez fight and go straight to Floyd.

If Floyd steps to Martinez after Martinez Chavez/Lee and tells him to fight 3 months later, he'd do it. As far as promoting would go, Floyd would be coming outta jail to fight a guy like Martinez for the middleweight championship of the world. It would promote itself, and would be Floyd's best selling fight since Oscar. If early Dec is really to early, they could maybe push it towards around 1 week before Christmas, or maybe even New-years. It's practically Vegas's busiest day of the year, and it would be a spectacle for sure.

I'm not really hyped for a Khan match-up, and woul dn't be unless he legitimately beats Peterson and the Ortiz vs Berto winner, or gets a good win close to that at WW. Now if Peterson has 2 good wins this year, maybe they could sell that on account of him doing well against Floyd in closed door sparring sessions as well.

I could stand Canelo (Or Kirkland :dunno) as long as he gets a good win against a top 154 pounder in Sept.

Berto could happen if he legitimately beats Ortiz, but I just feel that he just wouldn't be put in with Floyd immediately after Ortiz. That he would have another big time match before Floyd.

But my main point is that with all of these matchups, a December fight would feel rushed, so I don't think people shouldn't assume a December fight at all. Maybe January would be more likely.

                      Martinez.

I think Martinez might happen down the line. I'm have high hopes, for now.
