    • I'm going with Juan on this without a doubt. Off the top of my head, Tito's best win was against Fernando Vargas (and that was an awesome fight, one of my favorites) while Juan's best win might be against Marco Antonio Barrera (although I felt Marco won that). I haven't met anyone yet who places Vargas above Barrera.

Also, Juan's remained a force to be reckoned with in the sport longer than Tito with wins against young lions such as Katsidis and Diaz. And these were impressive performances in which he stopped both opponents. His win over Casamayor (though, Joel wasn't in his prime) still took place at a high point in Joel's career, after stopping Katsidis. Even being an older veteran in the sport he still held a position on many p4p charts. Tito, on the other hand, had a hard time remaining relevant after each loss.

Aside from that, as far as their skills go, I haven't met too many (as of yet, at least) who would argue that Felix can equal Juan in the skills department. I know in terms of legacy, the resume is far more important than one's ability, but still just wanted to put that in there.

Beating Barrera at that stage of the game is worse than beating the version of Vargas that Trinidad fought.

        • Marquez.

Before Pacquaio-Marquez 3 I think it was close.

Right now I'd have Marquez a tad higher.

Sven Ottke defended his title 21 times.

Virgil Hill defended his title 20 times.

Just because you have a large number of Title Defences doesn't necessarily mean anything.

              • I would've loved to see Mosley vs. Trinidad. That would've been a hell of a fight, its too bad we never got to see it.

                  • the polls speak for themselves...

Tito is NOT a skilled fighter, he was 1 dimensional idiot who couldn't adjust and retired every time he lost

and now JMM is a 4 Division champ with no controversy about hand wraps to boot

I give JMM the slight edge...longevity.
