Nice try................ Umm, no it wasn't. Try again.
Kirkland was top 3 then he immediately went to prison. It's probably happening in September now though, so why are you biching?

He punched himself out, but he was still knocking the snot out Kirkland (literally) in replay's shown. Pretty good for a punched out fighter.

Lol Keep going in your senseless rant.
Doesn't matter if he was throwing combinations because his punches lost a lot of pop after the first round. LOL MY senseless rant? You're the one who made a long ass post criticizing Canelo saying he got hurt by Jose Cotto, when your boy got iced by a feather fisted fighter.

Both of these guys are very talented and vulnerable. Very interesting fight that has the potential to be very exciting for as long as it lasts.

I look for Kirkland to smoke canelo with ease. Canelo has faced absolutely no one close to as good as Kirkland.

            What has he done?

He was hurt against Cotto's brother and losing the fight against Gomez. He has victories over Hatton and old, over the hill Carlos Baldomir.

You guys make absolutely no sense thinking this kid can beat Kirkland.

Do people not understand that being clinched 118 times is a big deal?

Do people not understand that fighting with 2 shoulder tears is a big deal?

Canelo has stayed away from Kirkland this long for a reason. He's trying to seize the moment, like he always does, by fighting a guy that looked weak in his previous fight. But he and everyone else who thinks this kid can beat Kirkland will be in for a rude awakening when they fight.

Then, like the Angulo fight, you will either say he gassed or the kid was too young to begin with. I love it.
Fan boys assemble! Kirkland should've gone for Bundrage, probably a better chance of winning. You guys are acting like Kirkland wasn't exposed before the Molina fight. I saw Kirkland's true colors when he got KTFO by Ishida. Had the nerves to say it was flash knockdowns and blame his old trainer, please... Can't wait to start betting on this fight if it does happen .

              Canelo KOs Kirkland.

He's too sharp and his punches are very heavy. That is a bad combo for Kirkland.

                Its a very even fight.

                They can KO each other.

I expect a KD from each.

                Not sure who wins.

I don't know where you guys are getting this both of them can KO reach other **** from. We have never seen Canelo down before and we dunno how he recovers so you can't judge him on being "hurt" by Cotto's bro. Unfortunately, we can't say the same about Kirkland. He's ALWAYS rocked or wobble or out .

/inb4 He recovered from an Angulo KD.

yeah thats true....but kirkland's surgery seemed to have went fine according to espn..and he'll have to do 2 months of physical therapy and rehabilitation. so, i guess he should be prepared to fight canelo in september...anyways hope this fight gets made, I'll be rooting for kirkland in this one.
