Kirkland chances of winning gets even low IMO, He would be coming back from surgery and coming back from a controversial fight, going in against canelo who might be young but tough and intelligent, i see kirkland getting KO by the 7th round.Comment

lol. That sounds like him going in to the Angulo fight,
Minus the injury.Comment

I don't know if the surgery is going to effect him that much. He already had the surgery last week I think and I remember reading he's going to need about 2 months of physical therapy after. He'll be back to normal by June/Early July. That's plenty of time for him to have a normal training camp.
I agree with you on Canelo winning. For being so young, he's real smart and I don't see him punching himself out once he hurts Kirkland.Comment

Canelo better hope he can end it early. If not, this is going to be one rough fight.I don't know if the surgery is going to effect him that much. Canelo's facing him because he has to. It's either that or he gets stripped. His one year of optional defenses comes to an end in June 18, 2012.
Originally posted by Dan RafaelRhodes was a mandatory, so they had no choice for Alvarez's last fight. Now, the next few opponents can be hand-picked -- until his next mandatory comes due in about a year.Comment

I hope he doesn't end it early. Canelo needs to get in a rough fight. Since moving up to 154, his chin hasn't been tested. I want to see how well he can stand up to someone like Kirkland.Comment
