Kirkland chances of winning gets even low IMO, He would be coming back from surgery and coming back from a controversial fight, going in against canelo who might be young but tough and intelligent, i see kirkland getting KO by the 7th round.

lol. That sounds like him going in to the Angulo fight,

          Minus the injury.

True but i kinda feel like this fight wouldnt happen in september if kirkland wasnt having surgery, maybe team canelo think this is a good time to make this fight.

I don't know if the surgery is going to effect him that much. He already had the surgery last week I think and I remember reading he's going to need about 2 months of physical therapy after. He'll be back to normal by June/Early July. That's plenty of time for him to have a normal training camp.

I agree with you on Canelo winning. For being so young, he's real smart and I don't see him punching himself out once he hurts Kirkland.

Canelo better hope he can end it early. If not, this is going to be one rough fight.

Canelo's facing him because he has to. It's either that or he gets stripped. His one year of optional defenses comes to an end in June 18, 2012.

I hope he doesn't end it early. Canelo needs to get in a rough fight. Since moving up to 154, his chin hasn't been tested. I want to see how well he can stand up to someone like Kirkland.

This would be a great match up. I see Kirkland stopping Canelo.
