Might as well take credit away from Hearns' win over Duran too

he shouldn't get much credit (and doesnt and won't when this is all over,) for beating a blown up jr lighweight and slower counterpuncher.

it looked like somebody fighting his younger brother in there.

that's a good indicator of the way the pacquiao fight might go, and not a testament to the strength of a mayweather win over marquez at that stage.

Cotto by far is not the best fighter Floyd has ever faced. In every aspect from hardest hitter, to skill to whatever department you can think of Floyd has faced better. I'm not even sure if this Cotto is better than that version of Oscar that Floyd fought.
Oh man that 154lbs Oscar would **** Cotto. Oscar has far superior offensive and defensive skills than Cotto could ever imagine.

IMO the bigger & slightly over the hill Oscar that Floyd fought was the best he's faced.

Cotto hasn't faced anyone as good as Floyd, but Floyd has lost a step himself.

          Don't see why.

Marquez proved what he can do at WW.

weight was NOT the issue. Skill was.......anyways no matter what weight the fight would be at Mayweather would be faster and larger. Mayweather was toying with JMM, it was like sparring. He beat him in 2nd gear. I could imagine if Mayweather fought JMM the way he fought Ortiz and Mosley.

JMM was P4P#2 in the world at the time and was 36 years old. A 38 year old JMM just outboxed the #1P4P fighter Pacquiao & this was after 8 years and Pac being in the ring with him for 24 rounds.

            Weight downs mean shut......

JMM moved up & got dominated by Mayweather

2 years later he moves up and gets robbed in the Pacquiao fight....

Why not? Marquez proved more than he needed to that he is capable at welter.

He proved he could beat Pacquiao which he'd already proved twice before. I dont think he does much else at Welterweight.

And I think he could beat almost anyone at WW. After all, he beat arguably the best WW in the World.

The fact that he had 2 close fights with Pacquaio at lower weight's doesn't change the fact he proved he can perform to an exceptional level at WW.

Mayweather get tons of credit after marquez spanked pac over 140. after nov 13, 2011, pac.tards/floyd haters are left with a hard dilemma..... they have two choices when it come to this.

                    1. admit that pac is a overrated hypejob.

                    or

                    2. give floyd his credit for beating the most skilled fighter using ONLY his skills after a two year layoff.

                      For Cotto, yes.

                      For Mayweather, no.
