I've been thinkin the same thing because David's power seems to be evaporating and he hasn't been in top shape for a long time.

But I'll be rooting for Tua nonetheless.

Why is this so difficult to understand?

So your logic is, becuase it's been unfair and corrupt in the past, why not let it continue?

Do I think Rahman deserves to be where he is?

        No.

Does that mean I think it's okay that another 6 months is wasted because it's unfair to Maskiev that undeserving fighters benifited before him?

        COME ON.

        That's bogus.

        Again:

It's a pretty clear concensus of the top Heavyweights being the title holders, Toney and Wlad.

There's enough poor fights in there to tie up another full year.

Why on earth would we want to watch them all fight JOKES of fights before they get around to fighting eachother?

        No thanks.

Maskiev didn't deserve to be where he is, and if he had gotten a title shot it would have been bad for the fans, and bad for the sport. It would have just pushed eveything back another 6 months.

All I hear out of a select few of you is "Well don't you feel bad for Maskeiv"?

NO, I feel bad for ME, who's had to watch 3 years worth of meaningless ****ty fights in the Heavyweight division.

        Enough already.

The fact you have to ask shows how significant your thoughts are as a whole.

All I am saying is that Rahman is even more undeserving of where he is today. Same thing with Byrd, he had one fight in a year and that fight was boring to no extend. Who do people want to see fight today? Even if they fight each other, I know I don't want to see Byrd, Rahman, Brewster, or Ruiz in the ring unless it's for free. I refuse to pay $50 for Don King's PPV. Who else is out there that will deliver something close to entertainment? Wlad will fight in March in Germany (either Byrd or Brewster, most likely Byrd if he manages to break free of DK's contract), so we will not see that fight. The only fight worth watching now is Toney vs TBA.

Toney is FAR more deserving than Maskaev of a title shot, its not even close!

How many times have we seen a fighter fight a bunch of "non-contenders" and make his way to a title shot? Maskaev is in the same boat as Toney and Rahman, because they both did the same thing.

Also, didn't the WBC vote on the whole "who should be ranked #1" thing?

The sooner the emphasis gets away from the bogus 4 sets of rankings the better.
So do you believe that Toney deserves the ranking? Even after he tested positive for ban substances? If you do then you are being hypocritical.
