  • Maskaev Getting Screwed!!

Oleg Maskaev fought Sinan Samil Sam and beat him for the #1 spot did he or did he not? How in the hell does James Toney get the mandatory over Maskaev? Juan Carlos Gomez beat Oliver McCall in a WBC eliminator, so Toney should fight JC Gomez at the very least before fighting Rahman. To me this is unfair and the WBC continues to break their own rules.

yeah I know, Maskaev would get beat anyway...even if he fought the "great" Rahman, he ain't knocking him outta the ring this time, even Rahman can easily outbox this chump. It's all a popularity test and Toney will become champ, but Wlad, Brewster and possibly even Peter will knock him senseless.

There are rules in place that Maskaev and JC Gomez have met, but yet they get passed over by Toney!?!? I dont care if you think Maskaev is going to lose, win, or draw, Maskaev is getting screwed. Even JC Gomez is getting screwed, Both have fought in WBC santctioned eliminators but they both got passed over.

Try thinking of the big picture instread of trying to figure out why the ABC sanctioning bodies are't following their own non sense rankings.

The question is: Does Maskieve deserve to be ranked anywhere near the top 5 at this point?

        The answer CLEARLY is no.

Actually he does because he fought for the #1 contender spot. He'd get beat regardless but he still deserves a shot because of the #1 contender spot he won.

            You miss the point.

That was bull ****. He had no business fighting in an eliminaotr in the 1st place.

The sooner the emphasis gets away from the bogus 4 sets of rankings the better.

Yeah...who HONESTLY cares. Toney is the more entertaining fighter and is the bigger name. The sanctioning bodies could really care less about their own rankings, thus Maskaev getting the **** end of the stick.

That's all I'm trying to say, Maskaev fought the #1 contender while he was #2 and won. Maskaev is the #1 contender and is the new mandatory. But no wait a minute, Toney is the new #1 and Maskaev get's moved back to #2. It's bull**** plain and simple.

                    No, he shouldn't.

He's done NOTHING to earn that ranking.

Sam was not a top ten heavyweight.

Until he beats a top ten Heavyweight, he has NO BUSINESS being in the picture.

This is just more BS politics that the division doesn't need.
