There are a lot of things to be taken into account when assessing two different fighters.
The where doesn't matter at all.

Seeing who's in your avi. I can see why you trying to make that argument.

          You're very wrong on that.

It doesn't matter what sport we're talking about, there's a significant rub from homefield advantage and it's all the more crucial in boxing given the heavy influence of the judging in deciding bouts and notoriety of the latent corruption involved.

A fighter who goes into an opponent's backyard thousands of miles from home with foreign officials and partial judges and gets the win receives more credit than one who hides out in his backyard every time with everything set up in his favour.

The bottom line is that it's harder to win away from home.

If Floyd fought khan or hatton in england hed be so terrified his pot shotting wouldnt work, floyd would go for the ko, and end up being ko'ed himself.

Thats how fighting away from home is. Floyd has never encountered adversity because he refuses to see what its like as it terrifies him, and cos of that he isnt as good as he could have been. Unfulfilled potential he is just another statistic who coulda, woulda but didnt.

It doesn't matter if it's harder to win away from home...The where doesn't have anything to do when determining greatness. None at all, the where doesn't matter.
