If it was prime for prime, if they met up at 126ish or even 130, I'd probably favor Morales to be too tough, too strong, too willed for Floyd. Who knows, it'd be a good fight. Overall, I think the respect Morales has from all over plays a part.

To reiterate, Morales fought and beat greater fighters than Mayweather has, and for me, that's what pushes it in his favor. The woulda/coulda argument is lame.
Lil Floyd stops Morales in less than five at any weight and time in thier career. Just look at that ass whipping Raheem the dream put on Eric Morales. Raheem cant come close to Mayweather in boxing skills but he had enough skills to make Eric look like he couldnt even fight! You idiots are too funny trying to dream up some one to defeat the P4P ATG Boxing king Money Mayweather!

No he's not. But let's not even get in too deep on this, it's just ridiculous. Morales won 6 titles in 3 weight classes, 7 in 4 if you count his bogus 140 lb title that was really Tim's.

Floyd's won 7 titles in 5 weight classes, should be 8 when he beat Mosley but he didn't pay the sanctioning fee's.

Erik is an ATG and a HOF fighter, not better than Floyd though.

Erik's wins: Zaragoza, J. Jones, Chacon, Ramirez, Barrera (qustionable win), Kelley, Espadas Jr, Chi, Ayala, Velardez, J. Chavez, C. Hernandez, and Pacquiao.

Erik's losses: Barrera (twice), Raheem, Pacquiao (twice), Diaz, Maidana, and Garcia.

Floyd's wins: G. Hernandez, Manfredy, Gerena, Corrales, C. Hernandez, J. Chavez, Castillo (2 wins, 1 questionable), Sosa, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, and Ortiz.

Erik has the best win of them, but Floyd's resume is still deeper, and he doesn't have the losses Morales has. You can also look at Floyd and see he's a better fighter than Morales. This takes NOTHING away from Morales, and he's a HOF and ATG, but the reasonable and objective people will always say Floyd is better than Erik was. H2H, Floyd would spank Morales. Anyone that thinks Floyd at 130 (1998-2001) would lose to Morales at 130 is high on bird s**t. I don't think anyone beats Floyd at 130, his best weight. And not even a past prime version of Floyd would have ever lost to Zahir Raheem or David Diaz.

I wish these floyd fanatics would stop using triangle theories to make a case for Floyd, to excuse the fact he dont fight apart from in fantasy fights.! Raheem this, raheem that! Its Morales fault for underestimating Raheem and not training for him properly and thinking he could just turn up on fight night and be too good for him! But lets not use this to make a case for Floyd beating Morales pls.

If Morales had an unbeaten record to preserve, like it was life and death he may have taken raheem more seriously, like Floyd does all his opponents, as his zero has to be protected even if he was fightin his nan.

Morales has fought better fighters than Floyd and taken more risks so, and dont take 1 year luxiuries to prepare for opponents like floyd does.

Great fighters never underestimate any other professional boxer. Floyd works equally as hard with a C fighter or an A fighter. Hard work and dedication. Only difference between an A fighter and a C fighter is the level of skill. The level of danger is there for an A fighter or a C fighter.

DeMarcus Corley or Zab Judah could have been Floyd's Zahir Raheem. But Floyd is a true great who prepares the same for any class fighter, A, B or C.

Trash talk the fighter for the cameras, but take him seriously and professionally inside the ring.

But Floyd prepared for 2 years to fight JMM as he always knew he wanted to beat at least one pac victim better than Pac did. As Pac was embarassing him by beating his opponents more spectacularly.

JMM cant afford that as he fights for a living and he prepares for different opponents on a day to day basis. Cos floyd dont fight for a living he can prepare and specialize in one opponent.
So simply put JMM had 6 weeks to train for Floyd, whereas Floyd has 2 years to train for JMM.

Floyd is very proffesional and trains like a challenger for all his opponents and never underates people, but the same could be said for Sven Ottke, but that dont make you great.
Morales beat Barrera and pac, he took better challenges than Floyd. Yes he lost some but when you fight you do lose. Floyd would have lost if he didnt retire and fought consistently. Thats what happens when you fight regularly.
