floyd hasn't fought an established guy who wasn't a one win wonder since castillo. yeah he fought journeyman baldomir after he scored an upset and old mosley after he scored an upset but did he beat the guys who were ruling the divisions before suddenly losing? nope. he just waited for them to lose then beat the winner. you don't get the same amount of credit for doing that. some credit yes but not the same. cotto is not the number 1 guy at 154. that's a joke. he's on the program gatti was on at 140. the kirkland-molina winner is the real number 1 in my mind. not the popular frauds like cotto/canelo.

doesn't really matter. i would never think floyd is ducking the present day cotto. if i didn't make that clear then fine my fault, but floyd clearly ducked cotto back in the day just like he is ducking pac now. that was my point. he doesn't fight the best. i thought everyone knew that but i guess they are super fans for a reason.

I would agree with Bradley also, regardless of IF he loses to Pacquiao, I still see Bradley being one of the top fighters at Welterweight once Pacquiao and Mayweather are done

in fact I think he beats all of the fighters at 140-147 RIGHT NOW who are not names Pacquiao or Mayweather that is just how good he is, some refuse to give the guy his credit but that is OK, they will be trying to jump on the Bandwagon when he is still at the top of the Welterweight Division and is a Top 5 P4P Fighter

yes mosley was his best win since castillo i agree with that, but he wasn't always a player at 147 since most of his fights were at 154. margarito and cotto beat 11 top ten guys during that period to mosley's 2. they were clearly the more dominant fighters of the time.

if senchenko somehow fought and beat pac and mayweather beat senchenko, floyd gets more credit for beating senchenko then he would for actually beating pac? obviously not. same scenario.

I don't know what you're rambling about. I give Floyd credit for beating Mosley, who was the champion at the weight. Fighting the champion in the division is what every fighter should do and want to do. Pac didn't, so Floyd had to.

so if you give floyd credit for beating mosley why don't you give him credit for ducking the other guys when they were the best? fighting the champ when they are vulnerable and avoiding them when they are dangerous is floyd's MO. floyd didn't want to fight cotto or margarito who were the dominant fighters of his time with 11 top 10 wins between them. yes mosley came along and beat margarito after all was said and done but that doesn't make him as good as those guys. just like my analogy of senchenko beating pac. if senchenko comes along and beats pac and then floyd beats senchenko would you give floyd more credit for beating senchenko then if he actually beat pac? of course not.

Mosley was already a greater fighter than Margarito so you're argument is crap. Since pac is far greater than Sechenko there is no comparison

Mosley was open to a fight with Floyd for the lineal title after stomping Marg. Floyd and Mosley were the top 2 guys in the weight, the fight made sense. And it was a great win.

Didn't Cotto admit that he never pressed for a Floyd bout either?

Ortiz might not even stay at 147 for too long...there are decent fights for him at 154...plus he doesn't seem like the type that will stay in boxing too long past his 30th.

But I cannot see him as the King at 147. Realistically I could see him in some decent fights like a top tier gatekeeper but I also wouldnt be too surprised if he completely fell off the radar.
