Funny thing is yesterday 95% of the Pinoy probably thought he was only an announcer for HBO and 95% of the Floyd stans would have probably listed him as one of their top 5 fighters.

Now the pinoy are all, "BRAVE AND LEGENDARY WARRIOR ROY JONES JR" and the Mayweather fans are calling him the most overrated fighter ever.

    ****in NSB
Yeah, I don't get all the inconsistentcies.

Sometimes people just need to call it like they see regardless of who might end up looking better (Mayweather or Pac).

Right is right and wrong is wrong.

My problem on here is some pac fans "REFUSE" to admit when Pac's wrong or make statements that could potentially put Mayweather in a higher light. I think this is the reason why many Mayweather fans feel the need to do the same thing.

What's the point of being honest and admitting when Mayweather has done wrong or might not win a fight, when Pac fans refuse to do the same for Pacquiao. I think this is the reason behind all of the biased madness.

    • Pac cant close off the ring against Mosley or Barrera (2). Why would he be able to close the ring off against someone with Roy's mobility?

Floyd never had a problem with slicksters, the two things that lost him the most rounds in his career were: a good jab (DLH, Judah) and pressure (Castillo, Hatton), Jones uses neither of those.

Jones dominated Toney but Floyd is for versatile than Toney and Toney was a lazy piece of **** who couldnt train properly. Which fighter did Roy loose the most rounds to until Tarver 1? That was hopkins. Floyd has more in common with Hopkins than Roy does with DLH, Judah, Castillo or Hatton.

        RJ himself disagrees with you.

Roy is saying between Pac and Floyd, Pac will be the harder fight. He's saying he would probably beat Floyd, but not sure if he can beat Pac, P4P.

He's not saying that he will lose to Pac, but he would have to overcome more adverseties against Pac than Mayweather.

          That's how I see it.
          agree ^^^^

          • Roy said that manny would be more difficult because of power and being a southpaw... Two deadly combinations... Roy tasted the southpaw stance against the first man to deck him and that was lou de valle... And lou wasn,t known for having crushing power... No way he would wanna face pac at 140 ... Roy knows that stance is trouble...

            • I would slightly favor a prime Roy Jones to beat Floyd by close decision that`s only because Roy is taller and rangier.Floyd would give Roy hell and exploit Roys Jones flaws.Very few fighters was able to exploit a prime Roy Jones flaws cause they did not have the athletic ability nor the smarts to do so.A Prime Floyd is comparable to a Prime Roy in athletic talent but not as fast.So Floyd would have the speed, the timing and the smarts to catch Roy alot.Roy would give Floyd problems with his speed and Awkward style and vise versa but Roy`s size would be the difference though and i believe would earn him a close decision against Floyd.

If they were the same size there`s no doubt in my mind Floyd would win a close decision cause Floyd boxing skills are superior to Roys Plus Floyd has alot of speed and at 130 was a big puncher.Floyd has fought alot of fast fighters and showed that he can adapt to a fighter that has alot of speed.Floyd would be better able to exploit Roy technical flaws being atleast comparable in size and would win a close decision in my opinion.

Pacquiao on the other hand would lose badly to Roy cause of his significant height and reach disadvantage, his poor defensive skills and his lack of any real technique.Roy would just stick and move and counterpunch Pacquiao to a easy decision.Pac would have his moments here and there cause Roy likes to back up in the ropes alot but it would`nt be enough.

And i disagree with Roy to a certain degree about him saying Floyd and Toney fight the same way.Floyd is faster, much more versatile and is a more clever fighter then James Toney.Floyd does`nt always use the shoulder Roll and Floyd likes to fight differently in every fight to make it near impossible to figure him out.Floyd is also better at adapting to a difficult style then James Toney is.

              • We must first remember that Roy has used ped's in the past. Which is a fact. So his career is tainted no matter how u look at it, thats first, and second we don't know how long Roy had been using for. The prime of his career was at a time when PEDs was rampant in track runners(marion jones..ect) and boxers(mosley, ODH) so who knows all that crazy athleticism we seen from a younger RJJ that seemed almost impossible may have been due to him "using" on top of being physically gifted as more than anything. One thing we know about Floyd is that sure he using "oxy" for his brittle hands for a few fights but for the most part his career has been PED free which I have much respect to him for, most of our fav boxers from the 90s-early 00's have dabbled in PEDs at some point, including Pacquiao..

Pacquiao`s south Paw stance would be irrelevant against Roy cause Pac is much shorter and have a much shorter reach.Roy would just hit Pac all night form a safe distance plus roy is a counter puncher which is one of Manny`s weaknesses and Roy has very fast reflexes.Add that all up and would be a very easy night for Roy.Lou del valle was taller then Roy and have about the same reach as Roy which made it easier to catch Roy but Roy went on to dominate Lou after Lou dropped him.
