    same here man,
cuz the weight difference between martinez vs a super middleweight would be much less than martinez vs pac...so instead of chasing a smaller fighter, martinez should be challenging the big boys closer to his size against the top super middleweights...fight nite weight for martinez vs pac would be equal the fight nite weight for pac vs darchinyin

martinez is a scrub, only meaningful fight was against williams...his resume sucks big time, in contrast, pac has fought some of the best in every weight class.

Sergio should really get his head checked... Arum controls Pacquiao about as much as he controled Ali, Leonard, or Hagler... He is a promoter period... He doesn't get to tell Manny who to fight anymore that Golden Boy tells Mayweather or Hopkins... Sergio Martinex is say either on of two things... ALL fighter with promoters are puppets with no power or HIMSELF and ALL other boxers with promoters have complete contol except Manny.... The diference between Mayweather with Golden Boy and Manny with Top Rank is that Mayweather sign one fight contracts and Manny signs 3 fight contracts. That's why MARTINEZ and MAYWEATHER both have promoters.... I'm now convinced that Martinez is a Fuc$ing Idiot!!! He is dying to fight a guy 4 inches shorter and 15 pounds lighter but he wants no parts of Pirog in his own divison and Ward, Bute, and Froch all said they'll come down to fight him.... Sergio Martinez is a MW champ looking to fight WW and not undefeated MW and well known SuperMW, I smell PU$$Y!!!!

He does not dictate terms to anyone and hasn't lined up much of a challenge for himself the past year or so. It would help if he could draw fans to a fight instead of waiting around for Floyd or Pac. Why not promote himself properly and clean out 160 or challenge the heavy hitters at 168. There are other challenges: Sturm, Pirog, Golovkin, Geale, Bute, Ward, Froch, Kessler are all fights the could enhance his legacy.
The time he spent doing this, he could have been building himself up more to position himself to earn those big multimillion dollar paydays.

I don't like Pac either but jeez, it's a fact that Oscar chose the weight to be at 147. The media would have destroyed De La Hoya for making Pac go up almost 20 pounds in weight if the fight was at 154.

BTW, Mayweather is never going to fight Martinez.

In the words of Floyd Joy Sinclair Mayweather, Jr:
"He's not *CLAP* a *CLAP* pay-per *CLAP* view *CLAP* attraction."
WTF are you on about? Read carefully, I didn't say Pac did a b*tch move by fighting Oscar at 147, I said he made a b*tch move by fighting Cotto at 145 after fighting DLH at 147.

He can fight DLH at 147, but not Cotto=B*tch move.

I'd red k you for not comprehending my post, but I like you as a poster. I forgive you.

I went back out of curiosity to read my post and see if maybe I worded it wrong, and see if there's anyway I can misinterpret the post if I'm another poster. I see no way this post means I said Pac made a B move by fighting DLH at 147. Clearly, the comma after that sentence means it's not over and "but" right there is the keyword.

He can fight DLH at 147, but brings Cotto down to 145.

And let's say I worded it wrong. It takes little to no common sense to read the actual paragraph and see I was comparing Mayweather fighting Cotto at 154, but then bringing down Martinez to a catchweight, as much of a b*tch move as Pac being able to fight DLH at 47 but bring down Cotto to a cw.

Just have to read carefully. This is not a presidential campaign, don't try to isolate sentences I say to use it against me as e-propoganda.

Talking of excuses, Daggum you were absent from this forum for two weeks when all Arum and Manny had to say was that they weren't interested, Manny's cut wouldn't heal in time, they could do it in June, they needed a stadium, and he didn't know who to call. Floyd just gave them an out from a fight they had no desire to make now or back in 2010, when money wasn't an issue. Funny you are talking your usual nonsense again now that it is safe to come out of hiding.

yeah it's because i was in puerto rico and that's too far away to post..........and what are you talking about. the actual substance of why the fight didn't happen is because floyd made unreasonable demands. the stadium and cut are irrelevant. i made fun of arum for saying such ****** things but they didn't stop the fight from happening. floyd did. it's obvious floyd never wanted the fight as he's changed his demands over and over again. why are you a fan of such a doofus who refuses to fight the best? he wants more money than pac even though pac is at least as big of a draw and floyd didn't even sell out his last fight. he won't fight martinez at 154 but he will fight cotto? what kind of great fighter is this?

notsureifserious, STL Buay. You really don't think Manny is controlled by Arum?

Also, Martinez is naturally a 154 pounder..who fought at 147. It's not like he fought at 147 in his teens, either..it was in his mid to late 20s. It also doesn't change the fact that Pac ONLY moved up to Martinez's weight (154) after Martinez no longer held the title. Me, as a Pac fan, even I can't justify that one. Pac HAS fought at Martinez's weight class, for what was really Martinez's belt, don't use the "too small" excuse. Martinez is a 154 pounder already fighting out of his weight class. Martinez basically doesn't even have to cut at 160, and is undersized. At about 160..the size differences start becoming much more obvious than at 147 (imo). Not only that, Martinez said he's open to a 165 (I believe that was the number) catchweight bout with Ward...who happens to be big, even at 168. If there's one thing you can't criticize Martinez on (imo, of course) is his willingness to fight the very best. Martinez has earned his spot, has dealt with the bull throughout his career, and pushed through it and is the top guy in a weight class that isn't even his own because nobody of any significance wants to fight the very best these days. Martinez should fight Pirog? What, he should just fight every unknown and unproven guy who wants to fight him? In a different country? In the words of Lou Dibella "**** that". Dude can't even get a decision in America, imagine Russia.

Also, I don't think he's hating on Cotto at all, he's given his props to Cotto before and even had him beating Margo (even though he wanted Margo to win so they could fight).

Martinez has to be the nicest dude people have ever hated on. God forbid the number 3 p4p challenges anyone. He's got to be the best fighter who gets hated on for challenging people of recent memory. What's the world come to these days? Maybe if he was ugly.. >__>...he'd get some love.
