he should be world champ? pirog is an actual world champ but ok. macklin selling out msg? when did he do that? i don't remember him doing that. they won't even sell out the theater it's so sad of a fight.
i think you are confusing MSG and the theater. you could say that. i don't always like Mayweather's choices but come on he only fights once a year.
Arum has a lot of power in the industry but because of him fans are missing out on great fights because he doesn't want to risk his investments. Mayweather is just one guy who fights once a yearComment

Ortiz was a tune up and cotto is umm no longer lives in PR, 154lbs, anothe tune up?? Who knows...Floyd's smart fighting once per year. He's still young because he hasn't taken any beating never really been in a war.

If Mayweather actually does end up fighting Sergio Martinez, especially at 154 lbs, he doesn't need Manny Pacquiao for his legacy. And vice-versa, but we know Manny isn't fighting Sergio AT ALL. With Floyd, at least it's a minor possibility.
Even if Floyd fights Sergio Martinez or Manny Pacquiao, people will discredit somehow, and everyone knows that. The fact is that Marquez in 09' at 144 was a C-/C fight at the time, not very good. Given the fact that an even older JMM just arguably beat Manny at the same weight, Floyd should get some credit for absolutely dominating him. And Mosley when Floyd fought him was a legit fight. Shane was the next best WW aside from Floyd and Manny after knocking Margarito out, and it launched him into the Top 10 P4P at #9. People were even saying Floyd was going to duck Shane, but than somehow now it's a cherry pick because he whooped Shane??? And Floyd fought Victor Ortiz after Ortiz was on a 5 fight win streak (1 win over Berto, which launched Ortiz as the next best WW aside from Floyd and Manny) and a draw he should have won over Peterson, which now looks better. People were saying after Ortiz convincingly beat Berto that Floyd would never fight Ortiz because it was a risk, but then he fights him and it's a cherry pick. Now, when it was rumored that Floyd-Canelo was about to happen, people were saying he was ducking Cotto at 154 lbs and how he still won't fight Cotto. He chooses to fight a past prime-still good Cotto at 154 lbs, and now it's a cherry pick.
The fact is that Cotto at 154 and Bradley are the two best fights by far that are available for Manny and Floyd, aside from each other. Sergio is fighting Macklin in March, he wasn't even available.
My hope is that Mayweather and Pacquiao get their s**t straight and fight in November or December......or Floyd fights Sergio at 154.
