If Floyd is his own boss how come he is so lethargic in getting fights made? How come Pac has the resume?

Why is Floyd fighting Cotto and not Sergio or Pac if Floyd is his own boss?

If this fight happens I hope it's not until next year. Nobody should be fighting someone of Martinez's calibre straight out of jail, Mayweather should first have a tuneup against Alvarez. Winning that Floyd should then fight Martinez if the Pacquiao fight can't be made.

I'd respect Floyd no matter what weight he fought Martinez at, but if it happens I hope the fight's at 154. Even though Martinez has offered to come down to 150, if Mayweather gets through Cotto at 154 then there's no reason why he shouldn't fight Martinez at 154.

He's frustrated because a 5'6" undersized welter who's never weighed more than 148 won't fight him giving up 20+ lbs. Imagine how top middelweights like Pirog, Proksa, Golovkin feel when Martinez refuses to fight them, in his own division! Seriously, I liked Martinez when he made his way up, the guy is turning out to be a diva in the Mayweather mould. **** him, I hope his hype gets busted very soon.

Martinez wants a pay day and there's no money in Proksa, Pirog or Golovkin, not to mention that Pirog's management want to fight Martinez in Russia.

Ortiz and 154 Cotto are better than anyone Pac has beaten since he moved to WW, Martinez wasn't an option for May 5 because he refused to cancel Macklin, and for the record Pacquiao turned Mayweather down, saying no to $40million. Just like the first round of negotiations it was Pacquiao who walked away from the negotiating table.

Sergio should really get his head checked... Arum controls Pacquiao about as much as he controled Ali, Leonard, or Hagler... He is a promoter period... He doesn't get to tell Manny who to fight anymore that Golden Boy tells Mayweather or Hopkins... Sergio Martinex is say either on of two things... The diference between Mayweather with Golden Boy and Manny with Top Rank is that Mayweather sign one fight contracts and Manny signs 3 fight contracts. nobody wanted pac to fight cotto again at 147, 150, or 154 because cotto is nearly finished and we already saw that fight. are you actually complaining that we aren't seeing a ****** fight? bradley-pac is a lot better and floyd-cotto is just too late to matter. it's like pac-mosley. no one should care. fight martinez at 154 or pac at 147 otherwise stay fake retired.

Also, Martinez is naturally a 154 pounder..who fought at 147. It's not like he fought at 147 in his teens, either..it was in his mid to late 20s. It also doesn't change the fact that Pac ONLY moved up to Martinez's weight (154) after Martinez no longer held the title. Me, as a Pac fan, even I can't justify that one. Pac HAS fought at Martinez's weight class, for what was really Martinez's belt, don't use the "too small" excuse. Martinez is a 154 pounder already fighting out of his weight class. Martinez basically doesn't even have to cut at 160, and is undersized. At about 160..the size differences start becoming much more obvious than at 147 (imo). Not only that, Martinez said he's open to a 165 (I believe that was the number) catchweight bout with Ward...who happens to be big, even at 168. If there's one thing you can't criticize Martinez on (imo, of course) is his willingness to fight the very best. Martinez has earned his spot, has dealt with the bull throughout his career, and pushed through it and is the top guy in a weight class that isn't even his own because nobody of any significance wants to fight the very best these days. Martinez should fight Pirog? What, he should just fight every unknown and unproven guy who wants to fight him? In a different country? In the words of Lou Dibella "**** that". Dude can't even get a decision in America, imagine Russia.


Also, I don't think he's hating on Cotto at all, he's given his props to Cotto before and even had him beating Margo (even though he wanted Margo to win so they could fight).

NOBODY at this level in boxing doesn't have control of their career... Their lawyers, managers, and advisors won't allow them to sign a contract giving up control over their career... Just use you common sense... Learn what the term indusrty standards mean and you'll understan how boxing work. At this level their are industry standard contracts and they are basically the same just like in any sport or major industry. The CEO at Mc Donalds contract is like the one for the CEO for Burger King... The CEO for Direct TV contract is like the one for the guy of Dish Network... The second that one thing changes the others in the industry follow suit PERIOD... I a fighter found a way to get 75% the other fighters and their lawyers will soon follow suit. Kind of like how their was Bad Boy and Death Row with 50/50 deals until Master P came with No Limits 85/15 deal and the rest of the industry followed suit... Nah i woiuld say people want to see Pac and Floyd more, but they are getting on peoples nerves by not having fought already as FLoyd is scared and always putting barriers up.

People would love to see if Floyd is scared of Sergio as well, so are daring FLoyd to get the fight made if he wont fight Pac.
