Martinez is a nice guy I just think he wants the big fights, like ones with Chavez Jr, Cotto, Mayweather and Pacquiao. I'm a Pacquiao fan and saying this

that is true, whatever bob says manny will do. the boxing community knows that bob arum is the one to blame for the fight(floyd vs manny) not happening. bob also had cotto as a puppet as well i.e. instead of fighting martinez he fought michael jennings.

if floyd just pretends he wants to fight top guys that's really all it takes and his fans are happy. he doesn't have to actually fight them of course. that would be asking too much from the great floyd.

          Wtf

All I could say when I read this was wow, Sergio's slick he knows he'll never get a Manny fight so he don't mind taking crap on him, but do you notice how he's trying to massage Mayweather's ego, maybe a new tactic for a man desperate for a big payday, I don't know, but what I'm pretty sure of is he's never fought someone of Cotto's caliber so he shouldn't talk.

Bob Arum, does his best to protect his investment but so much so he robs the fans of a lot of good fights. he won't risk any of his cash cows against another promotion.

Mayweather is just one guy but Top Rank has a lot of great fighters but we'll never know how great because of Arum's selective match making. I'm not saying Arum is the only one who does it. GBP does it too but Arum is the biggest offender.

            wouldn't you want to see

            Rios vs Maidana
            Donaire vs Mares
            Chavez vs Martinez
            Pacquiao vs Mayweather

I can't even think of all the great match up fans are missing out on because Arum won't risk anything unless it's in house.
are you right on the money on this one rey guey. cotto is getting the biggest payday of his career and twice as much as he did versus pacman plus without the catchweight and other bob b.s.

              He's basically right.

Everyone would rather be in Floyd's position because he's in charge of his own damn self.

              Top Rank fighters are puppets

he is right for sure, but then again sergio is dibella's puppet. he keeps getting matched up against dibellabums so he looks kinda ****** because he just signed a big extension instead of doing something smart like becoming his own promoter or signing with a big promoter if he wanted big fights. i guess he doesn't understand how boxing works, oh well career destroyed.

                  1. is what sergio said false? i dont think it is, im pretty sure no one else thinks differently either. it's a fact that top rank handles manny's matches completely. i doubt manny even wants to fight bradley. top rank said he's the opponent so manny fights him. it's not like sergio is making up lies, he may be talking smack but at least what he's saying is true.

                  2. sergio is already undersized and all of u tools who say he should move up in weight know this so please stop bringing it up. i dont see pacquiao moving up to 154 to fight better opponents so why does sergio have to go up to 168.

                  3. who honestly thinks sergio hasnt beaten some tough competition? pavlik might be washed up at the moment but he wasnt when sergio beat him. dude was the lineal champ for 3 straight years up till sergio crushed him. he may have had trouble making the weight but thats no excuse since he was holding the belt. sergio didnt force him to move down, sergio fought him in the weight class that pavlik was champion in and in the weight class where he was the lineal champion.

                  4. ppl that think sergio landed a lucky shot on williams are clowns. if u even bothered to watch that fight u see that he threw that same punch twice in the first round and twice in the 2nd round before he landed it. that punch was by design. erislandy lara further proved that it wasnt a lucky shot as he hit williams with it for 12 rounds straight. so please stop pretending like sergio was flailing around and managed to ko williams by fluke.

                  5. as for sergio not wanting to fight guys like zbik, pirog and golovkin...first, who really thinks zbik is a legit contender? if zbik is a legit match then wouldnt u rather watch sergio fight chavez considering chavez beat him? lol zbik...gimme a break u guys need to try harder. as for pirog and golovkin, who in north america knows who those 2 guys are? you think a 36 year old martinez wants to bring 2 europeans over that nobody has heard of so he can fight them and make no money? u guys need to think about the situation before speaking.

let not forget that Cotto avoided Paul williams like the plague, and did not fougth for williams title until Williams reliquished it than Cotto fought a nobody in Jennings. So is safe to say that Sergio fought in Williams a much better and biger caliber....lol:owned:[
