I used to like him for that but he's just such a blatant hypocrite.

Any time any decent MW name comes up it's all "he means nothing in the US, tell him to fight in the US to build his name".

But when Floyd, Pac, and Cotto say the same thing about him they're cowards. Those 3 are above Sergio on the food chain. Sergio is above the european MW's on the food chain, and they call act accordingly.

I disagree a bit, Radio. I do agree with Martinez being bigger than Floyd (obviously) but I think the weight is overstated. Floyd's next fight is at 154, he's fought at 154, so why can't he fight Martinez at 154? Guys like Floyd and Pac are rare in that they have minimal weight to cut. But there is a difference between Floyd and Pac in size and method (imo). Floyd keeps himself at that weight, he's a gym rat and very disciplined. Pac on the other hand supposedly has to make a concentrated effort to hover around that weight and has to basically make sure he doesn't drop too much weight. Floyd keeps his weight from going up, Pac keeps his from going down. Pacshould really be fighting at 140 imo. I bet he could make 135 if he wanted and all he'd need is a very small cut.

Martinez has in the past walked around at a bigger weight, true (but he was also facing bigger men), but I'm basing it off his most recent showing and his own comments. He says he has to kind of juggle his weight a bit because he really wants to go back to 154 where *he* claims it feels more natural to him. When I say natural weight class, I tend to mean the weight class a fighter is most comfortable in. Remember, some fighters aren't as active outside the ring, so it's obvious they will gain weight when they just went through a few months of intense training, then stop. All it takes is the training camp to get them back to the optimal fighting weight.

Point being, both Pac and Floyd (particularly Floyd) have fought men Martinez's size. Maybe Floyd decides he wants Martinez at 154, hence the move up for Cotto, we'll see. It's possible he foresees himself putting on a bit of weight in jail and would like to cut very little... Maybe make a martinez fight in December or so (wishful thinking). Martinez could possibly fit in a 154 fight before December. Floyd put himself in a nice position of power by going to 154 for Cotto.

I'll go on record as well as saying I do think Floyd is more talented than Martinez, and Pac arguably so, but Martinez is kind of a wild card. Dont take offence to my disagreements, just friendly banter here

Buay, you misunderstood/read my post. I've already mentioned Pac as being too small for Martinez and have even said Pac probably should even be at 140. The whole point is that if you're willing to fight a certain size, then why not another man of the same size? Weight doesnt matter if you're fighting at that specific weight class. If you want to step into the 154 weight class, be prepared to be challenged or fight a 154 pounder. That's all I mean.

It's like the Donaire issue, we can criticize him for being over sized, but ultimately, like they say: Don't hate the player, hate the game.

"If you want to fight at a weight be prepared to be challenged at that weight"

Please don't tell me people are arguing over this? Did Martinez ever fight at 168? If he did he should be prepared to be challenged at that weight. Did Pac and Mayweather fight at 154? ........ you get the point.

Weight = weight class in my example. Excuse me for not being more specific. You don't have to weigh 154 to fight at that class. :P. Floyd and Pac have, an Floyd is doing it again next.

Martinez has already been challenged at 175 by Bernard lol.

Here's the thing, Floyd is moving up to 154 for Cotto, but if he stays an challenges Pac at 154, Pac will say he doesn't want it at that class and Floyd will take crap over it cuz he'll be "huge". But if Floyd says he dont want 147 anymore because he no longer wants to be there, straining his body, blah blah, he'll Still get crap. Floyd wouldn't get the benefit of the doubt. Pac was man enough to fight margo for the 154 belt (we'll say class for arguements sake) but not Martinez, Cotto, possibly Floyd in the future? That's the reasoning behind the challenges. Martinez offered 150. Hence people kind of saying Floyd and Pac are " ducking" him (it's a business move on Floyd's part, and Pac is legitimately smallish imo)

I personally don't consider it flat out ducking, but the fight CAN be made, it would not be unprecedented for all parties involved. If Martinez can win long enough to run Floyd out of the few big fights he can make and it seems like they'll eventually fight. Floyd has Cotto, Canelo, and Pac left. He has no one really after that who would make more sense than Martinez. We might not even see Pac-Floyd so its possible to see Floyd-Sergio next year imo

And hopefully Mayweather fights Martinez at 154, cause if not then beating Martinez at a catchweight lower than 154 after beating Cotto at the full 154, is no better than Pac's p*ssy ass move of fighting DLH at 147, but in his next WW fight brings Cotto down to 145 like a little b*tch. Of course Martinez even at a catchweight is a better win than Cotto, but still a b*tch move. Please Floyd, don't be a b*tch this late in your career, fight Martinez at 154 and even beyond, to fight for his Ring titile.
DLH made that challenge! So, put your facts right!

Me too. Martinez vs Mayweather would be far more competitive. It's a fight that could go either way, IMO.

                      Pacquiao vs Bradley

This is a very good match up. Bradley is very aggressive and strong. he is young and got all the energy of youth ..I think he can pull an upset ..
