It makes me laugh when people make such ridiculous claims top Rugby players are extremely good and skilled athletes that deserve mention alongside any world class athlete no matter the sport. and only recently have they has the talent been pulled away to other sports that are easier to access.

one is completely bogus (new zealand's rugby league being responsible for the lack of talent in the HW division)
and the other is not (The NFL and the NBA being responsible for the lack of talent in the division)

Rugby is a way tougher sport than you are giving it credit. Those guys don't stop every ten seconds like in the NFL.

I'd bet the quality of athletes is the same or even higher in rugby, they play a far more intense game, like the footy guys in Australia. They just don't stop moving around.
