It seems like an unfair advantage to you and all the rest of the haters because he's not your favorite fighter and he's not an American. How would you know Henry Armstrong's intention? You were barely born when Armstrong passed away. Anyways, what dumb ass would agree to fight a much bigger opponent. Boxers only sign up to fight bigger fighters for one thing, to earn a bigger paycheck. To fight a much bigger opponent like Pacquaio is famous for poses a greater risk. This is why Pacquaio pushes for catchweights, it's called being smart. That's why you hate Pacquaio, because he's pretty smart despite growing up dirt poor. Why don't you hate on Oscar for signing up to fight a "midget." Cotto fight was 2 lbs under the limit he looked fine untill Manny put him on his ass. Cotto didn't lose because of the catchweight, he could not see where the punches were coming from. Cotto was my favorite fighter, but he doesn't have a granite chin.

Floyd hasnt demanded anything from sergio, sergio offered the 154 lb limit.

The cotto/margarito catchweight doesnt make a difference, both fighters are better below 154. In one sense it was dumb to ask for a catchweight, in another it was just some mind games. the 153 limit did not hinder the fight whatsoever.

A big beef with pac is his b.s logic behind the catchweights, he can fight some fighters at a weight, but not others? 'Oh noez he's too good...i cant fight at that weight'

But who the **** is Canelo?? Everyone knows he's a pampered babied made up champ. Pacman is supposed to be the best fighter around, this comparison is ******.

But, if Pac doesn't want people to bitch about his catch-weight fights. Then how about maybe just not have any catch-weight fights.

Really it's not that difficult to fight at the weight-class limit.
Of course you do, to accomodate Manny. Change the sport...............just for him..............!!

I say If it's a catch weight, you're doing it for the $$, leave the belts out of it.

and FFS, Pacquiao should just stay at 140 and fight someone good and on the rise.
What? you know someone in the Pro Ranks that doesn't fight for the money? The collection of tittle belts is one of the stories that's making Manny ****** rich. Why would he go down to 140 when he already knocked out the lineal champion in that division? Besides, he's a full pledge welterweight, now. Why don't you hate on Maravilla(Martinez) for trying to do what Dela Hoya failed to do, beat on a much smaller guy for millions of dollars and the fame(bragging rights?) that goes with it? Do you honestly believe that there's pride in defeating a guy half your size?

Oscar was a middleweight! Cotto was his only catchweight at welterweight.
Margarito was a lightmiddleweight. Maravilla(Martinez) is natural middleweight. Why don't you hate on Maravilla for trying to get his fame and fortune by fighting a much smaller guy?

Check my post history, ive had some choice words for sergio aswell.

Now, you give me one legitimate reason pac cant sign the fight with cotto at a limit of 150+? Cotto aint even a welterweight anymore (like labeling his division has anything to do with it)...He can fight at 150...he's done it before.

There used to be same day weigh ins, I don't remember when that changed but it was recently. Pretty sure guys like Hearns and Leonard were doing same day weigh ins at welterweight. So it's not like JRosales is thinking of something new.

It would lead to a lot less fights where one fighter outweighs another by 10-15 pounds. Guys would actually have to fight at weights they could make.
