I don't think he is on the decline I just think he had a false peak. For example I think he is about the same as when he fought Marquez back in 2008
Pacquiaos on the decline, agree?

Decline? NO! He just stayed away from good Boxing and Counter Punchers since his Second Fight With JMM...the 3rd fight with JMM exposed that
Don't matter what weight the make the fight...JMM WILL ALWAYS HAVE PACQUAIO NUMBER and I think any fight with good footwork and BOXING SKILLS will give Pacquiao a tough time or Beat Him!
This is why I say Pacquiao was MANUFACTURED BY BOB ARUM! Arum did a BRILLIANT JOB building him up into a Superstar by putting him in with Guys whom style they knew he would look good against...which is ALL FLAT FOOTED FIGHTERS who have no type of foot speed or lateral movement or head movement
Of Course a lot of fans won't like hearing that...BUT IT IS THE TRUTH! Why do you think people blame Mosley and Clottey for making Pacquiao look bad...that tells you that "HE NEEDS TO FIGHT AGAINST CERTAIN STYLES TO LOOK GOOD"Comment

Uh, yeah, try reading the part in my post where it says "excluding a corner stoppage".
And tell me how Mosley vs Forresst ended again? Remind me please, was it a KO?
@1:38.. Uhh Mosley was pretty damn close to getting Knocked out here. In fact I'd say a good number of refs would've stopped the fight after the 2nd KD, when Mosley almost fell through the ropes. Luckily for Mosley it was Smoger in there.
To say "Some guys just can't be knocked out no matter what" is just foolish. Anything can happen in the ring. People were saying the same thing about Margarito and look what happened to him.
If you can't knock a guy out after hurting him that bad, then you're gonna need to shoot him down in order to stop him.
And what refs would have stopped that, the Calzaghe-Manfredo ref?

I totally agree, I mean, Marquez is aging and Pacquiao in my opinion did better in the 2nd fight in 2008 than the third in 2011 at a higher weight.Last two fights barely the same explosiveness.
Againest fighters aged 38+ no less.
Mosley was suppose to be a ko. Marquez wasnt suppose to see 12. Though i give Marquez the benefit that hes something esle.
His legs appear tobe going, barely see the in out side to side. Hes walking a straight line. He hasnt been impressive. One bad night ? Sure, two? Uh oh.
He seems to lose some explosiveness, I didn't see that "wild cat" I was used to in his last 4 fights.
There is a reason why Floyd wants to fight Pacquiao right now and not so much 2 years ago.Comment

His hunger for the hurt is gone. What I mean is that he doesn't go the kill.
Against Marg he only went hard and the coasted. I think he even asked if Marg is ok in the 10th?
As for mosely, he only went how he normally use to in the 9th or 10th when mosely got the fake knock down.
He needs to be an under dog now IMO to feel that hunger. Against cotto he wanted to prove he wasn't too small and could take the hits. That was his best performance.Comment

On the decline? He hasn't faced the great counter puncher since JMM in 08. He looked bad against Mosley because he isn't used to fighting guys who move around alot instead of just standing there taking punches.
Stop with the excuses. People have been saying this exact same thing since 2009. That's why you had tons of people back then who thought Marquez would still give him hell. Of course though most of those people fell for the hype and believed in these so called "improvements".Comment

Who does he kill that dont have a CW or bad form right before ? look at the resume and look at each opponents situation starting at the worst WC in history Diaz , Pac is the same as always , if you give him Hatton ODH and Cotto all under the same circumstances today you will have the same result that you swallowed before .His hunger for the hurt is gone. What I mean is that he doesn't go the kill.

*******s are fishing for excuses , because they saw him look ordinary against counter boxers that know how to box , they have avoided this type of fighter his whole career , styles makes fights and Pac is great against a bag that stands in front .
You fools need to realize the CWs were a handicap on his opponent and were in place by order or NO fight , dont blow them off like its an even fight it isnt !!Comment

Decline? When was he on the ascent? Pac is a product of careful matchmaking over his last 4-5 fights, that is it. The same Pac that fought David Diaz, is the same Pac you see today. Pac looks ****ty when he fights people who are not shot to ****, old or slow. Being in the ring with a real superb technician like JMM showed many just how limited Pac's skillset really is.Comment

Pac looked pretty good against JMM. It's just that people get used to the KO's and expect it all the time...like a Tyson effect. If he shuts a guy down and wins nearly every round, it is still a let down compared to a devastating KO.
JMM is just an extremely good fighter who was healthy and strong at the weight- unlike his bout with Floyd. I knew it would be just like the other fights that the two had prior.
You would have to fight just like JMM to win against Pac.....Floyd isn't nearly active enough- he would have to switch his style up.Comment
