You guys are too funny. So, Manny finally faces a couple guys who have some movement and didn't look the same so he is declining. Its the same Manny he's always been, you can claim he is in the decline until you're blue in the face. But put him in front of some more punching bags and he becomes Wapakman again. You mofos need to learn the sweet science.

In his last two opponents he faced Mosley and Marquez. Mosley whom doesn't have great movement but is decent, managed to neutralize Manny's offense with just his feet. Naseem Richardson, claimed he is the one that showed the world how to beat Manny. While this is somewhat true, Marquez was the one who originaly did back in the day. Marquez is known for great movement and countering, made Manny look silly years ago and just did it again.

Don't worry lades, Manny will face a guy with little movement next as his ***ish father will make sure of that. He'll once again be "the fighter of the decade" and capture the hearts of many clueless "boxing fans"

And who are Cotto and Margarito that Mayweather had to fight them? Hyped up Top Rank fighters. Neither of them are or were ever great. They were both okay fighters and that's where the praise stops, they were okay.

He could be less motivated, being involved in so many other things which take up most of his time, and particularly since he has become more comfortable in politics. He may be slipping into a "benevolent elder boxing statesman" role, almost as if boxing is receding into the past.

In the last 2 fights he was markedly different to his previous fights. I think he was careful not to let Mosley counter him with a huge right hand, and when Mosley clammed up, hindered his all attacking, in and out, style. a sleepy performance, which he said was caused by leg cramps. But I've noticed in the past (Morales) that he always makes 1 or more excuses for poor performance, and he's actually had good reasons for losing his early career 2 fights.

As for the Marquez fight, in my opinion it would have gone much better for him with a clear win, (although he was expected to KO him) if Marquez had not been pinning his foot down whilst landing several good punches each time. It can be seen that when that happened-being quite often- MannyP was off balance trying to move backwards, flailing away uselessly when he couldn't; made him look bad. In rd 12, Marquez not only stepped on his foot, but kept it that way for at least 2 steps forward with Pacquiao trying to escape. You can also see in several published photos here, that Pacquiao is trying to move backwards, but his foot is firmly pinned.

So maybe the Mosley fight was really a benevolent one-time performance...... although maybe past his best.

And the only people who thought he was gonna KO Mosley was Roach and the *******s. Nobody is knocking Mosley out, he's gonna retire without a KO loss, like Hopkins, and excluding a corner stoppage, Glen Johnson. Some guys just can't be knocked out no matter what, Mosley is one of them.

I say he just sucks but had great match making that finally backfired.
Hopkins stopped Johnson when he was very green.

@1:38.. Uhh Mosley was pretty damn close to getting Knocked out here. In fact I'd say a good number of refs would've stopped the fight after the 2nd KD, when Mosley almost fell through the ropes. Luckily for Mosley it was Smoger in there.

To say "Some guys just can't be knocked out no matter what" is just foolish. Anything can happen in the ring. People were saying the same thing about Margarito and look what happened to him.

he clearly didnt have the killer instinct against margarito because if he did he would have never looked at the ref to stop the fight. He clearly would have finished off margarito.

Just look at the first barerra fight, he was abusing mab as much as margarito but he never took his foot off the gas pedal.

Fame, fortune, being a congressman, Sleeping in silk sheets gets has CLEARLY diminished his fighting instinct and spirit.

People forget they used to call this guy The Destroyer.

Mosley was suppose to be a ko. Marquez wasnt suppose to see 12. Though i give Marquez the benefit that hes something esle.

His legs appear tobe going, barely see the in out side to side. Hes walking a straight line. He hasnt been impressive. One bad night ? Sure, two? Uh oh.
I don't think he is in decline at all. He basically shut a very durable Mosley out and dropped him and Marquez has always fought tit for tat with Pacquiao. No cause for concern. Styles make fights.
