You mofos need to learn the sweet science.

In his last two opponents he faced Mosley and Marquez. Mosley whom doesn't have great movement but is decent, managed to neutralize Manny's offense with just his feet. Naseem Richardson, claimed he is the one that showed the world how to beat Manny. While this is somewhat true, Marquez was the one who originaly did back in the day. Marquez is known for great movement and countering, made Manny look silly years ago and just did it again.

Don't worry lades, Manny will face a guy with little movement next as his ***ish father will make sure of that. He'll once again be "the fighter of the decade" and capture the hearts of many clueless "boxing fans"
How about that, a sensible post on boxingscene.

This is exactly right. A few days ago I watched Pacquiao DLH and imo Pac isn't any different in his recent fights with Marquez and Mosley.

The fact is that Pacquiao is the number 1 p4p slugger, he has outstanding speed and he has great power for such a small fighter and imo anyone who goes toe to toe with him, even Floyd, will come off second best.

However, Pacquiao has proved time and again that he is unable to adjust his style, and that he is essentially a one dimensional fighter. He only knows how to move back and foward, when he dashes in he usually overextends himself and gets off balance, and his only strategy is to jab to find his range and follow up with a straight left.

As you say, Mosley, who has only average defensive skills, was able to shut down Pacquiao's offense by using basic footwork. Pacquiao has shown that despite his "improvements" since the first fight with JMM he is still unable to find his range or cut off the ring against fighters who don't directly engage him.

Pacquiao is an exciting fighter who's good for the sport, but his boxing ability is highly overrated.

Pacquiao=p4p best slugger Mayweather=p4p best boxer

Pacquiao fans just don't want to admit that Pac is the same fighter he's always been so that if May beats Pac they can make the excuse that Pac wasn't in his prime.

True, unless you have basic footwork and ring IQ.

lol I went to put this in my sig but I've already got you in it making the exact same mistake. Thumbs up for maths!!!

This confirms my idea for founding a charity called the "******* Education Centre", where all *******s are taught basic spelling and maths, as well as being educated about the importance of timing, unpredictability, defense and footwork in boxing.

well sure, but manny always comes to FIGHT, and whoever his opponent was feared him after tasting his hands and his speed, they went on survival mode afterwards trying to counter but always found themselves at the receiving end of the exchanges. hes not that good alright he only make his opponents worse. how can one expects an opponent who comes into the fight backpedalling to defeat somebody like pacquiao who is small in stature yet has one of the biggest heart out there.

Something does seem like its missing in the last two fights, the same with Khan in his last two fights as well. The distance from where the punches are being thrown seem to be off.

Just maybe the opponents were quicker moving with more skills and not weakened with a CW , what is your speed and accuracy comment being referenced against , the ring post or the referee ?

Pac is definitely loosing it a little. This is perfectly natural for a fighter his age fighting the kind of style that best suits a young fighter.

Maybe, but give him the chance to have 50-50 share with Mayweather jr., and let see if he is declining or not.

for men his size 33 has been at or around the end of the road as a general rule

he's a former flyweight (and not just a one time flyweight, but a world champion with defenses and a knockout loss at the weight

you guys are might not have been around boxing for long enough to understand it, but guys do not fight forever. you need your physical prime and you need to be willing to take the steps mentally that great fighters take.
that's putting in the hard work in the gym, and taking the risks in the fight.
especially when they take as many punches as manny pacquiao, those things fade.

i think he's beyond his best days
certain opponents might bring the best out of him that he's got left to offer, but i think he's only got a few more fights left before he retires

any of you guys who think manny pacquiao is goign to fight for another 15 years like bernard hopkins are sorely mistaken.
you're looking at maybe two years.
and i know there are some of you out there.
and a bunch more in the pinoy lounge. you think manny will live forever, and that you'll ride the ship til the doors fall off

and finally, he's pressing referee's to end his fights for him
whatever happened to the guy that smashed his gloves together and put them in the air and then when right back to pounding his opponent with combinations?
that guy loved to knock people out. he's gone too

                    Hindsight:

                    Team Pacquiao strategy:

                    1. Start weaning him off the enhancers before he gets in with Marquez. He may still perfrom spectacularly and beat the hell out of Marquez.

                    OR

                    2. Have him perform poorly against Marquez so people will think he is weak, and perhaps Team Mayweather will drop the drug testing demands.

Mosley was suppose to be a ko. Marquez wasnt suppose to see 12. Though i give Marquez the benefit that hes something esle.

His legs appear tobe going, barely see the in out side to side. Hes walking a straight line. He hasnt been impressive. One bad night ? Sure, two? Uh oh.
