Cotto would be a fool if he accepted this (unless he's in it for only $). Hopefully he realizes he has other options and says no and we won't have to waste the first part of the year with a pointless fight.
well said good sir. . . Cotto would get obliterated weight notwithstanding. .
i hope pacquiao doesn't even make an offer to fight at 147 pounds. i'd be disappointed if pac chose to rematch cotto at ANY WEIGHT, rather than pick bradley. Bradley is who he needs to fight. . .

And, at the end of the day there isn't anything wrong with catch-weight in this era. It's not like the old days. Now you get a whole day to re-hydrate yourself to a healthy weight.

Cotto tried to force Margarito down to 150. They agreed on 153. Obviously Cotto does not consider himself a true 154-pounder.
Mayweather would fight him at 154, just like he did Hoya.

Pacquiao gets vastly outweighed at welter, but weight a minute he's not hindered enough let him move up to light-middle.
Guess this shows how high even the haters rate Pacquiao.

If RJJ fought Ruiz straight after the first fight with Hopkins and came in at just under 200lbs I'm sure he would be a bit sluggish too.

It's ****** to just discredit everything manny has done because he didn't end 2011 strong and he's not looking good with the current negotiations for the mayweather fight.
Catch-weights don't count, and neither does The Ring Magazine, so Pac did not win a title at featherweight either. We are down to 5, and I have not even considered rubbish like the win over Diaz.
GTFOH, you have lower standards than a $5 whore.
