Yeah Marquez slow and sluggish because of the putting on the weight quickly, told Mayweather in negotiations he could not fight above 140, and Floyd ignores the weight agreement that gave Floyd an advantage already.

Marquez told Pac the same thing but the difference is that Marquez whupped Pacquiao's ass at the same weight Floyd beat Marquez at. why do you think Pac asked for the fight to be at 144 for when he could make 140 more easily than Floyd? Because Pac thought Marquez would be ineffective against him like he was against Floyd but fact of the matter is....... Manny Pacquiao ain't Floyd Mayweather Jr! And that's where they shot themselves in the foot trying to prove Pac is better. Pac weighed less than JMM for their fight. Pac is a fraud. Face it. Why would he fight Canelo at 154/150 and not cotto when Cotto has much more leverage and drawing power than Canelo??

Not on Cinco de Mayo and not in Las Vegas he doesn't. Canelo would be a huge draw because of the Mexicans coming up from California. Canelo can never get below 150 and remember that he even failed to make weight for the Matthew Hatton fight, at 150.

Yah I was shaking my head at that statement too. Not only did mayweather have a height and reach advantage but since he didn't even bother to make the catchweight that he set he also had a weight advantage. Plus add to the fact that it was marquez's first fight above lightweight..

Well fighting 3 years at lightweight and then having 12 months to put on the extra weight helps.

If RJJ fought Ruiz straight after the first fight with Hopkins and came in at just under 200lbs I'm sure he would be a bit sluggish too.

cottos not gonna fight at 147 hes gonna say thats too low...therefore he would have to meet pacquaio at a catchweight probly at 150
