Mayweather will not fight Cotto at 150, he would make him go to 147, too. The only fighter Mayweather "might" fight at 150 is Saul Alvarez and even that is debatable.

Cotto tried to force Margarito down to 150. They agreed on 153. Obviously Cotto does not consider himself a true 154-pounder.

Then why would they consider fighting Chavez jr?

Manny is a girl. He knows he can't beat Cotto legitly which is why he is making Cotto go down in weight once again. Not only did he arrange a catchweight fighter with the former featherweight, never fought above lightweight before and then rushed his up a couple more weights, he also deliberately came in over the agreed amount to gain an even bigger advantage.

That wasn't for Mayweather's adavantage and Mayweather wasnt trying to pick up a cheap belt.

The catchweight wasn't an advantage for Floyd it was more a disadvantage for Marquez. Coming up in weight doesn't take much out of you but coming down in weight does. I think Pacquiao beats Cotto at any weight personally but the fight would be pointless if it were to occur at 147. 154 where they both have titles would be a better weight for these two to conduct a rematch.

It was never a Catch weight fight. If u listen to Ellerbe and Floyd's team they kept saying it's a welter weight fight. The catch weight was thrown in there to cut Floyd some slack, for everyone would discredit the fight considering Marquez was coming up two weight classes. The catch-weight talk was just to validate the fight in the eyes of the public. FLoyd came in the same weight he has always done for his fight at welter. I hated the deception, but it is what is, a merely tune-up , to size up one of Manny's opponent and get the fans all riled up for a major clash between him and Pac.
