If they do fight a 2nd time it'll be a much more competitive and close fight.
It won't be the brutal beating that the first fight was, but it still won't be competetive. It'll probably look like the 2nd Pac - Barrera fight, with Cotto employing all of his boxing skills to not get beat up, 'cuz he will refuse to take chances. Let's face it, against high pressure fighters, Cotto slows down too much in the championship rounds. Even the Pac that just squeaked by Marquez beats Cotto again.

Why are people getting angry or surprised by this? Pac made it pretty clear after the Margarito fight he will never go above welterweight again. If Cotto says no, then there you have it, no Pac-Cotto rematch.

I'm not surprised. Look what Manny did to poor Morales.

I also don't expect Cotto to say NO because of the money and the delusion of him thinking that he might have a chance. lol

People thinking that the weight doesn't matter is ridiculous.

If it did not matter then why did Pacquiao insist on it ?

I can prove that Pacquiao intended to disadvantage Cotto by imposing weight restrictions, I have it straight from the horses mouth.

When I get home, I will post the link.

And Manny is doing the exact same thing this time around.

Here is what I will do, I will flatly insist that Manny could never have beaten Cotto in 2009 at 147, and that he could never beat him today at 154...... hard luck Manny, for demeaning your own achievements.

Manny certainly cannot prove that he definitively could have beaten Cotto at 147 back in 2009, because he would not take the risk..... and he cannot prove that he definitively could have beaten Cotto at 154 now, because he still will not step up.

so lemme get this str8not only does pac just lose to jmm and get a robbery dec. in his favor but in order to clear his name and clean up the damage to his rep at the hands of jmm he chooses to fight the most meaningless and str8 up retarted opponent he can possibly humanly face in Cotto?????? then at yet another catchweight??? dude this proves beyond all doubt that pac is just a total IDIOT that has a good punch no respect for his own legacey or rep,no respect for paying fans and most of all no respect to his countryman ,id be embarrassed at this point.......JMM exposed pac as a 1punch one handed fighter whos way overhyped he exposed this to noone more than Pac himself,as his opponent selection speaks volumes about pacs own self confidence.....pacs on his way out and thats fine happens to every fighter but the way pac is going out is embarrassing to watch........

Guess this shows how high even the haters rate Pacquiao.
VS a guy he already beat?? sure why not.

OH wait last time beat him at a catch weight,

thats to much common sense for ignorant haters. And this post is the most intelligent post of all on his thread.

Dont talk about weight its not your forte , a matter of fact you dont know what your talking about with weight , CWs interfere with your training weight right through camp stripping muscle mass , your final week peaking is critical , off coarse its relative to the actual CW and your own body system because they all work different , but to think that a day before weigh-in will fix what weeks of fasting have done is so ignorant .

The worst case of severe CW issues for many years was ODH vs Pac , when you got to have IV Fluids to try and get some fluid back in because your normal system has shut down is deadman walking .
****ing great insight, man. This politician's response to you will be that ODH vs. Pac was not technically a "catchweight" b/c it was contested at a recognized 147 lb scale. However, any true Boxing fan will see the point you're driving home and how it relates to this article. Good post and pragmatic/factual response, my dude.
