I wouldn't favor any heavyweight past or present. Joe Frazier has the best chance of beating him because he actually did do it later on and it would still be a competitive fight with a peak Ali.

    klitschko brothers get schooled.

You can't look at Ali in the 60's and Ali in the 70's and claim he was as good in the 70's with any credibility. Foreman had one of his biggest wins at 45. Hopkins did in his 40's. Ray Robinson at 37.. Big wins do not automatically mean prime.

I'm not going to argue with you anymore about Vitali's losses. They are what they are and anybody can look up the video's and see it for themselves.
Ok, so based on what Ali went on to do after coming back from the layoff doesn't indicate a fighter past their prime. That's all I'm saying.

Maybe he was better than before, maybe he wasn't, who knows. It's opinion either way. He got knocked down by a bum prior to beating Liston so to imagine Vitali beating him is not a stretch for me.

As far as the Vitali losses go, I agree, let the viewers decide. It's easy to read scorecards anyways.

...by a guy about the same size as David Haye?

I don't think so. Wlad might get flustered by Clay, but it would still be a tough assignment for Cassius.

        Vitali just straight-out hammers him.

Wlad was STOPPED by a bum against Ross Purrity. It's not hard to see other ordinary heavyweights doing it. Right? And it's common knowledge that Ali was not in his prime in the 70' s. But you can keep playing dumb.

He was talking about Vitali, not Wladimir. The truth is in the HW division anyone can lose on a given night. That's what makes it so interesting.

Oh yeah I forgot, It's easy to read scorecards for Chisora-Fury. Chisora was dominated. Right?

Did you see the Rumble in the Jungle?

Foreman had Ali against the rope for a lot of the fight.

                  A prime Ali Liston's Foreman.
Ali being prime would have been of no benefit to him, since what had diminished in him would be nullified by Foreman in any case. There's a reason Ali wanted no part of a rematch with Foreman, he wouldn't have won again.

Being eight years younger,a more youthful, fresher, better conditioned fighter,in addition to possessing a significantly superior level of foot speed would have been of absolute no benefit to him.

The level of idiocy on this board is mind blowing.
