Ali had lost twice in his comeback, Foreman was one of the most intimidating forces the division had ever seen, he had obliterated the two fighters who beat Ali, both in two rounds, and everyone thought Ali's health was in jeopardy. Ali knocked him out in eight, that was inconceivable, pretty much everyone agreed. Not to mention all the pre-fight pageantry.

It's not crazy at all to say Ali KO8 Foreman was the greatest win ever, it's up there.
I think it is. Foreman was very one dimensional at that time. He would have virtually no chance to survive a fight with the current Wlad or any Vitali.

          Here is mine

          1. Ray Leonard over Marvin Hagler
          2. Muhammad Ali over Big George
          3. Douglas shocking Tyson
          4. Joe Louis over Max Schmeling
          5. Henry Armstrong over Barney Ross (126 lb champ beating the 147 lb champ)
          6. Harry Greb over Gene Tunney
          7. Cassius Clay over Sonny Liston
          8. Jake Lamotta over Ray Robinson
          9. Joe Frazier over Muhammad Ali
          10. JC Chavez Sr. Over Meldrick Taylor/Foreman over Moorer
I could name 6 off the top of my head easily that top Ali-Foreman, but I'm not going to just start making lists of anything just because some smoothbag asked me too.

This prime Ali was dropped and lost rounds. How you think nobody gets near him is beyond me. When was the last time Vitali or Wlad legitimately lost a round?

What I say you disagree with so you call it ****** and trolling. You are just stuck on the whole legend status of Ali like the rest of these clowns. It's a sham. He was a hero for the black community but he was way overrated as a fighter.

Lol, Briggs was not shot coming off 3 x 1st rd ko wins, played defense and is 6' 4" & weighed like 262 lbs. The giant Chuvalo at the time was 6' even and weighed 216 lbs. He gets annihilated by Vitali in 5 or less rounds if Vitali wants to dispatch him. If you seriously think otherwise I don't know what else to make of this thread.

with that said, only Louis, Lewis and both klistcko's have a shot, with vit and lewis having the best odds. imo.
That's a very good, rational post. Well said. I don't know why these guys don't understand this and think Ali is some unbeatable messiah at that time because he ran his mouth well. I guess everyone has to have a roll model.
