All this talk about "HIGH WORKRATE"...uh...that only works against FLAT FOOTED SITTING DUCKS who can't move their feet or head (i.e.:Cotto, Margarito, Clottey), when your getting countered and when your missing and swinging at Air, Shoulder, Arms and Gloves that Workrate is not going to be the same

hell we seen it against JMM, most thought Manny would "OVERWHELM" JMM with Speed and Power, but JMM Countering and Accuracy took away that "HIGH WORK RATE"

yeah...OK Ortiz landed some punches against Mayweather...BIG ***IN DEAL! So did Judah, Mosley (landed 2-3 HUGE SHOTS) and they all still got picked apart

it is MULTIPLE Things Mayweather can do to beat Pacquiao, he can stay in the Pocket and Counter everything he does, he could work from the Outside and use that Reach Advantage and pick him apart with a Jab and Leads, he could SMOTHER Pacquiao which nobody would be expecting, but in order for Pacquiao to get off, HE NEEDS SPACE to jump in an strike with that Power, Pacquiao is not good at all going backwards, so if you Smother him and force him to fight inside I think he would struggle with that as well

now I challenge a Pacquiao fan or somebody who Think Pacquiao would win to really break it down as to WHY they think he will/would win? And I am not talking about the TYPICAL "Power" and/or "High WORK RATE" because that is the only thing people keep saying...but that alone won't defeat someone like Mayweather...Mayweather could get old over night and I still think he would out-box Pacquiao

Mayweather would have more problem with young SKILL BOXERS like Peterson or Bradley even Robert Guerrero before he will with a Brawler with a ton of flaws and holes in his fight game, but boxing fans today are so ****** and Simple minded that they only want to see Mayweather fight Brawlers with Power because they don't want to see him JUST LOSE...they want to see him get KNOCKED OUT!

it is no need to be Bias towards either fighter, you have fans who just want to see Mayweather lose by any means Necessary, so they will pick just about anybody that Mayweather fights then they get on Forums and point out how Mosley, Ortiz and Zab Judah hit Mayweather with some great shots...but never mind the fact that he dominated them ALL and picked all of them apart...yes including Ortiz who got frustrated because he couldn't land clean shots and he threw in that Headbutt, but for the FEW good shots Ortiz landed, Mayweather was still out-boxing him and picking him apart MOST OF THAT FIGHT so focusing on a few punches that Landed from Ortiz really don't validate ANYTHING

    1. Floyd has the size and longer reach than Manny.

    2. Floyd is the most accurate fighter in the sport and Manny gets hit fairly easy.

    3. Floyd is the best defensive fighter in the sport and is very elusive. Manny has no defensive game plan and could not even catch and cut off Shane.

    4. Manny is at times off balance and throws punches in a wild way (I saw it during the Clottey fight)

    5. Pac is fast but Mayweather is pretty fast himself, so Pac won't have a big advantage in the speed department.

    6. People keep talking about Pac's power but his damage is done over the course of the fight as he connects. Floyd is known not to be hit much and if so he can take a hit, recover and finish strong (Mosley fight). Pac would have to keep hitting Floyd and as much as people think he will. I just don't see that happening.

    7. Pac has good conditioning and so does Mayweather. Pac won't have the luxury of thinking Mayweather will tire or get worse as the fight goes on.
Conclusion: I just don't see anything Pac does that can supersede Mayweather in the ring technically. Pac's biggest attribute is his speed but Floyd has that going for him too. I think Pac's power is overrated. Sure he can hit but the last person he officially put out with one punch is Ricky Hatton. Pac has to hit Mayweather often to damage him and I would bet all my points on that not happening. Also factoring in that Freddie Roach has already gone on record as saying that Floyd is totally different then all Pac's opponents and he has to make Pac see what he sees inorder to beat him while Floyd adjusts during the fight.

Roach has to change Pac's style up that has been successful for him all these years. IF this fight ever happens (which I think it won't) Floyd beats Manny Pacquiao and gets him out of their around the 10th/11th rd (corner stoppage). Manny just gets hit too much for my taste and Floyd just hits opponents too much very accurately. Pac fans don't get mad at me and call me names because this is strictly my analytical outlook of the two as fighters. You can believe that Pac would win and Floyd fans can believe the same thing. Totally up to you but I'm sure Pac gets beat by Floyd.

the same people who trumpet pac's sudden dramatic improvements cling to what floyd did or didn't do 6,7,8,9,10 years ago.

Honestly and this is my opinion. All of the people on here who are saying Pac will be a difficult fight for Mayweather, clearly have not been watching him fight for too long. Pac is easy work. Total mismatch technically. Why do you think Bob Arum has went on record to say when Floyd was semi retired back in 08 that he wanted Mayweather to stay retired as long as possible, so the rustier he will be? Why do you think Freddie Roach STILL hasn't figured out a way for Pac to beat Floyd? Roach has went on record prior talking about Mayweather is so different from all of Pac's opponents and he would have to change Pac's style up and make Manny see what he sees in order to have a shot at Floyd. Most recently, Roach went on record and said that if Pac ain't on his A game then he might not make it through the fight with Floyd. Arum even called Floyd a "Master Boxer".

Come on people. This ain't about loving or hating Floyd or Pac but rather calling it how it is. Floyd walked through JMM and Pac still can't beat convincingly. Hell, JMM beat Pac more convincingly older and years later in a weight class Pac was putting beat downs on bigger fighters. The same JMM who fought Floyd would have given Pac problems because of the style match up. Floyd adjusts on the fly and Manny can't even deal with a fighter using movement, defense and counter punching. Pac was made to look great while Floyd is great and has been for YEARS! why do you think most people in and out of the sport lost a lil enthusiasm regarding this fight after JMM? Because it showed that Pac will not and can not beat Mayweather. Arum is so greedy and salty that he hurt Pac by not making the fight when it mattered because now, Pac lost his #1 slot without even fighting and losing to Floyd officially. He lost it because he was exposed. Arum still doing Pac dirty and when Pac time is over in the bright lights. Bob Arum is going to toss him aside. Damn shame because if Pac had a really good trainer who fixed his flaws, then Pac could have been a way better fighter.

Mayweather's style is tough to anyone who fights him. What's the big fuss?

It's such easy work that Money asked for extra special test that he never asked for in his previous 40 fights and retired to avoid instead of making $50 to $60 million for so called "EASY WORK" who turns down that money or retires or request extra special test to make $50 to $60 million for so called "EASY WORK"???? Even, Floyd ain't selling that BS!!!!!

every fighter has bad nights. every fighter has a thorn in its side that i difficult for them...like Mosley and Forrest....Forrest was hard for mosley for some reason even throughout the amateurs. A fighter is always only good as his last fight. Thats what im taught...everyday! JMM was manny's last fight and evryone feels he wont hold up to Mayweather. lol
the fact is Mayweather has never ..EVER foght a fighter like Manny! So thats not a tailor made opponent. Thats a dangerous opponent !
