floyd is fantastic, my point here with the rust and age, floyd is not the same

prime cat everyone remembers him by. he is not what he was against jmm.

that was a true boxing lesson.

floyd near 35 has lost what has made him floyd, legs, movement and speed.

yes he is still quick, but fast is different from quick..

i am unable to pick who will win this fight. my point is that just because

jmm gave pac hell does not mean floyd will.

and that floyd has displayed some vulnerabilities in which his prime were

    non there.

    he is not the same...

you know why floyd didnt box and move against ortiz?

two reasons, he doesnt have the legs anymore and the second he knew

he had to get ortiz going backward to take his power away from him...

move pac forward, back or sideways he still has angles and power..

The issue that most genuine boxing fans have is that we can all see that Pac is being fed hand-picked opponents who are either well-faded or disadvantaged on the scales, and we can all see that Arum is blatantly protecting Manny from Mayweather in order to secure as many mega-payday's as-is humanly possible before taking what will obviously be a huge risk with Pacquiao's marketability.

" oh, but Arum is just doing his job "

" oh, but Pac is just doing what Arum states will be best for his career "

Fine, no problem, but you can forget about.....

      * Manny only fights the best
      * Manny has " cleaned out " the welterweight division
      * Manny is an 8-division champion
      * Manny is an ATG
      * Manny will fight anybody, anywhere, anytime

Because, there is little evidence to support any of those claims, and plenty of evidence to the contrary.

You see the thing is this..... you cannot have your cake and eat it too, it does not swing both ways..... a fighter is judged on 1 thing, and 1 thing only..... who he fought, and when he fought them..... Pacquiao's "decisions" and his "timing" have been impeccable.

He just did exactly what Green and Lebedev are doing to Jones/Toney/etc.

So, Manny is an exciting all-action fighter, and he is rich.

Fine, no problem, I agree entirely..... but you can forget all that other stuff.

Manny has been fighting old men, faded champions, and bums..... and he has disadvantaging them on the scales and manipulating them contractually,

The Marquez " setup " that recently backfired is hilarious in hindsight.

Pac needs to step up to the plate, he needs to stop fighting old and disadvantaged opponents, and he needs to stop talking about Mayweather when it is plainly obvious that he is not willing to fight him.

Then, maybe I will resume buying his PPV's.
im anti-Arum for starters! lol dont care for him much!
2001 manny came to America @ around 120ish! Today and over time moved up developed and changed alot in his style as well as career.
Look where and how far he came from and who he foght. You call them old Men. Thats oppinion only.
After winning his title in 01 he waon 5 straight...Barrera being the 5th and biggest step in his career. TKOd in 11
      then a war... A WAR with JMM @ 125!!!!
Eric got the best of him in 05....especially after barreara beat Morallas twice before this fight. It was crazy he lost imo. But came back twice and for what ever reason...finished what he should have( over coming adversity ) very respectful imo!
rematched all these guys...beat up beat up David diaz who won 9 straight one being Moralls and the decides to go up in weight!
here is where i cant belive he dont get his due
DLH...despite opinions...got stopped. DLH only weighed 5lbs less than he did with mayweather and it was only a YEAR later! Got punished!
Ricky hatton...moved out of his comfort zone of 140 to fight Floyd. Floyd did what he should have.
Hatton moved down to Hattons comfortable weight and demolished him!
Cotto is a warrior of his own kind and was not old or had issues. is only lost came by margacheato two fights later he get beat by a quick hard hitting Pac!
Clottey...a strong underated fighter and great test with wins over Richard Gutierrez, Diego Corrales, undefeated at time,Shamone Alvarez,Zab Judah,...with prime wins...hes a durable fighter for a man who was once 120 lbs not to long ago. mosley Margartio and JMM3 is what it is. He stays busy. Fights good to great opponents
Floyd fought old Mosley. Mosley being the only one besides Margacheato that in resent time is old and washed.
SO FOR mANNY FIGHTING OLD WASHED UP BUMS...COME ON.
Pac needs to step up to the plate, he needs to stop fighting old and disadvantaged opponents, and he needs to stop talking about Mayweather when it is plainly obvious that he is not willing to fight him.
THIS I DO AGREE WITH! Sorry about the rant!

you honestly believe that ortiz won two of the 4 rounds with floyd?

Manny gets completely outclassed whenever he mans up. Too bad he won't. He will fight Marquez again......and we KNOW that outcome. Too bad he doesn't speak up for himself.

Lets be honest here...Pacquiao's only chance...IS A PUNCHERS CHANCE!

All this talk about "HIGH WORKRATE"...uh...that only works against FLAT FOOTED SITTING DUCKS who can't move their feet or head (i.e.:Cotto, Margarito, Clottey), when your getting countered and when your missing and swinging at Air, Shoulder, Arms and Gloves that Workrate is not going to be the same

hell we seen it against JMM, most thought Manny would "OVERWHELM" JMM with Speed and Power, but JMM Countering and Accuracy took away that "HIGH WORK RATE"

yeah...OK Ortiz landed some punches against Mayweather...BIG ***IN DEAL! So did Judah, Mosley (landed 2-3 HUGE SHOTS) and they all still got picked apart

it is MULTIPLE Things Mayweather can do to beat Pacquiao, he can stay in the Pocket and Counter everything he does, he could work from the Outside and use that Reach Advantage and pick him apart with a Jab and Leads, he could SMOTHER Pacquiao which nobody would be expecting, but in order for Pacquiao to get off, HE NEEDS SPACE to jump in an strike with that Power, Pacquiao is not good at all going backwards, so if you Smother him and force him to fight inside I think he would struggle with that as well

now I challenge a Pacquiao fan or somebody who Think Pacquiao would win to really break it down as to WHY they think he will/would win? And I am not talking about the TYPICAL "Power" and/or "High WORK RATE" because that is the only thing people keep saying...but that alone won't defeat someone like Mayweather...Mayweather could get old over night and I still think he would out-box Pacquiao

Mayweather would have more problem with young SKILL BOXERS like Peterson or Bradley even Robert Guerrero before he will with a Brawler with a ton of flaws and holes in his fight game, but boxing fans today are so ****** and Simple minded that they only want to see Mayweather fight Brawlers with Power because they don't want to see him JUST LOSE...they want to see him get KNOCKED OUT!

it is no need to be Bias towards either fighter, you have fans who just want to see Mayweather lose by any means Necessary, so they will pick just about anybody that Mayweather fights then they get on Forums and point out how Mosley, Ortiz and Zab Judah hit Mayweather with some great shots...but never mind the fact that he dominated them ALL and picked all of them apart...yes including Ortiz who got frustrated because he couldn't land clean shots and he threw in that Headbutt, but for the FEW good shots Ortiz landed, Mayweather was still out-boxing him and picking him apart MOST OF THAT FIGHT so focusing on a few punches that Landed from Ortiz really don't validate ANYTHING
