Really Cotto is coming off a string of wins that consist of Foreman, Mayorga, and Margarito. I'm sorry am I missing something here? Or is this because people wanted to see this fight in 07/08 that they're in the belief that it's better late than never.

How is it a mismatch? Cotto only has trouble with pressure fighters which Floyd is not. Cotto has never lost to a boxer. On top of that Floyd hasn't looked good recently, if I remember correctly ortiz did land some good shots right before he went night night from the suckerpunch. Floyd looked good against old and undersized opponents de la hoya was way past his prime and could have pulled it out if he didn't tire at the end, Marquez was to small and wasn't used to fighting at 147, he is a great at 130, Ricky hatton was a small one dimensional fighter who also had to come up in weight and Had already looked suspect at 147 vs Luis collazo. Mosley was old but still managed to rock Floyd 2 times but tired himself out that round. I feel cotto poses a real problem for Floyd because cotto can box well or ****. Just remember Floyd went to puerto Rico to meet with cotto a while
back. I bet he told cotto to leave tr so they can fight and make
some real money. My prediction if it happens is cotto by split decision

Explain why is it a good fight? Because, this is a fight that you wanted to see back in 07/08? Does that mean is still a good fight today? What's good about it? What relevance or significance does it have for the sport?

hey idiot im a mayweather fan but name one time he has faced the best possible opposition since he started fighting at 147,,,he ducked paul williams, clottey, margarito,cotto,berto,and anyone else who was a top contender,,, stop d ridin and look at the facts and if i remember correctly when cotto fought foreman wasnt forman the #1 or #2 junior middlewieght who all the experts said was gonna box the socks off of cotto,,, say what you want about mayorga but he has a better resume than floyd does and also beat a great champion twice when he beat vernon forrest

Well in that case and using that logic lets just have Floyd fight Senchenko...Why not? Yea it's a mismatch that Floyd will win but he needs to prove it in the ring. And, it would unify the titles and you wanna see boxing. So lets make that happen.

If there's no Pac for Floyd I would like to see him fight Martinez...I want to see Cotto in good match ups like against a Kirkland, a Lara, hell even a Canelo, maybe a JCC Jr match up...those type fights against opponents closer to his level.
