    Pleas, say it again.

I literally can't name one other fighter going right now that can pull that off(outside of Pac and Floyd obviously)....closest would be Marquez, but not even he can pull those numbers I don't think. There were like 4,000 people at the Katsidis fight.
Yeah and there was 9k people and he did 250k for the 2nd Diaz fight.

Wouldn't it have been the perfect timing to have told Arum he was going out on his own, rather then tell millions of viewers and to Bob Arums face that he's not going anywhere (meaning he's NOT leaving TR)?

I'm not judging, I just don't get the logic.
Why would you do that? He probably didn't want to burn bridges with Top Rank, but that is a good decision to go solo on his part. Pacquiao should have done the same.

Cotto knows that the only fight for him at Top Rank is Chavez or a possible rematch with Pacquiao. He can fight Alvarez, Kirkland or even Floyd if he does this.

Yea on a loaded card for a rematch of the reigning fight of the year....that was a legit fight in Marquez's backyard(Vegas).

In an absolute joke of a fight Cotto more or less matched those number across the country from where he's most popular.

Oh and it only did 150-200k buys.

              http://espn.go.com/sports/boxing/not...ion-paying-off

              And it drew 8,383.

So yea, that should be pretty telling.

I mean, I get what he's doing. It's just to me it's a little like some celebrity actor giving an interview one day, tells the world that their marriage to so and so is better then ever and they're deeply in love - and then a week later their publicist puts out a letter saying that the couple is getting a divorce. Why lie today (publically)only to tell the truth tomorrow? Makes no sense IMO.

I know, I know. Why ask why.

People saying Mayweather-Cotto is a garbage aren't Boxing fans. Why wouldn't u wanna see the fight? Cuz its pointless, Mayweather will win blah, blah, blah. Let's see it happen instead of just trashing the fight.

I guess I'm the only 1 that wouldn't mind Floyd Cotto. Might not mean much but it would be a good fight to watch.

That's what boxing needs good/decent fights.

                      Good for Cotto.

The smartest thing Floyd Jr ever did was break away from Bob Arum.
